Poland - Greece (Friday 6pm CET)

Do the Greeks have any hope? or will the Poles flatter to deceive?

Not IMO. Kuba and Robert Lewandowski will be too hot to handle for the Greeks.

Would be good for the tournament too to see one of the hosts go through to the next stage.

Expecting a tight 1-0 win

Hopefully the Poles will have a nice dance lined up too. Clumsy old Marcin Wasilewski with a Siphiwe Tshabalala dance

I think Poland will beat Greece, at least I hope so.

Paulie: You're not gonna believe this. He killed sixteen Czechoslovakians. Guy was an interior decorator.

To be fair, I haven't seen enough of Greece, but will support them blindly.

Poland will carry most of the play but the game will end 0-0 or 1-1 I feel.

Sunday 8th June 18:00 CET - Poland v Greece

Opening game, what do you guys think. With Greece playing its likely not to be the most entertaining affair. Poland look a solid bet for the win, but Greece will try hold them for the draw. I predict a narrow 1-0 win for Poland.

Don't discount the Greeks at a major tournament, they wake up when the time is right, that's all I would say.

I reckon it will be a 1-1 draw as Poland will most likely be fired up for their first game and Greeks will have ability to cause their defence problems in the air.

I think the same. Papadopoulos with the first goal of the whole tournament (from corner of course) and Lewandowski equals the score at the end of match. I'm not worry of Polish footballers quality, I'm sure we have enough much offensive power, the biggest potential in this domain in the last 20 years - great wingers, creative Obraniak as a playmaker and Lewandowski as a striker, however it's difficult to say whether they manage to deal with the host country fans expectations and pressure resulting from this fact - it's second youngest team from all EURO 2012 sides and probably the least experienced.

Certainly that is a factor and also taking into consideration that the Greeks are an experienced side.
Still believe that the talent will prevail on this one but Poland winning in a 1-0 or a 2-1 win.

Probably a draw 1-1 or 0-0(both teams will not want to lose the first game, so expect a nervous encounter). I will say if Greece wins they will win by set pieces though as they have little or no ability to play any kind of real football. Poland untested, who really knows what they will do. Both teams could get out but i have choosen Russia and Greece, so i'll stick with it, but wouldn't really surprise if Poland nip the Greeks and they squeak through either. Too close, too open too unpredictable. LET THE EUROS BEGIN , OLA

I gotta find a radio Polish stream so I can listen to the Polish announcer. The English announcer over TSN is usually Brutal. I will be watching the local broadcast on tv since itl be in HD
