Should Raul come out of retirement for Spain?

This forum has been lately dead, thought of bringing some debate here.

Raul still has the ability and hunger to play in top flight and has been very good for Schalke04.
What you think given the crisis of top class forwards(Villa and Torres are definitely not at their best with one injured and other being goal phobic and only Llorente and Soldado are deserving) in Spanish squad.

He never retired. He was dropped by Aragones and hasn't been called up since.

Torres is not playing that badly. He's not scoring goals but he's doing everything else, especially setting up goals. This meme that he's suddenly the worst player ever needs to die.

Well Spain have enough players who can do everything else. They need some one to bag the goals in. Just look at the WC without Villa they wouldnt have won it. He isnt a bad player but not what Spain need atm so Id pick Raul over him.

Wouldn't disagree, was merely addressing the general overboard criticism of Torres, especially in this country

Spain I think will only take 3-4 forwards unlike most national teams. Pretty much Llorente and Soldado are the locks, I still think Torres will make the squad so there is room for one more, if Villa is fit he will be there. Other options are probably Negredo, Pedro, Muniain (more of a winger probably)...but I don't follow Spain too closely

Torres, Soldado, Llorente.

If Villa doesn't make it, why not have Raul there as a 4th option and a mentor? I don't think it would hurt the team.

Undoubtful talent of Raul, but Spain has some more options for attack and sometimes they are playing with only one forward, so donīt think he should be called up all of the sudden.

He has a nice history for Spain of course, but maybe the Spanish press would make a lot of fuss of it and in a case the Spaniards don`t win the tournament they will blame Raulīs presence for his previous record of diving camps in the squad.
