Germany, Netherlands

Group of Death for sure but for me it will be hard to see either Portugal or Denmark make the top two. The only good thing about this group is the path to the final looks "light" for the winner of this group

Germany should be strong enough just to survive. They might get two wins and a draw, but they should be able to go through. I think the Portuguese will defeat the Netherlands and lose their other two, Denmark will draw with the Netherlands, defeat Portugal, and lose to Germany, but do enough to advance.

Germany and Denmark (dark horse).

Denmark are easy winners of this group. I think the germans will join them

The Irish gave the bagpipes to the Scots as a joke, but the Scots haven't seen the joke yet.

Wow, what a tough group. Should be very entertaining games over here, but at the end Germany as they always do) will advance together with Holland. Denmark and Portugal will give a good fight though.

"as they always do..." well, they were out after the group stage in 2000 and 2004. Won´t happen this time of course.

Netherlands & Germany go through.

I think Portugal could go through here actually. Bento has changed things for Portugal since taking over, he beat Spain in a friendly (yeah it was a friendly but still). Also Portugal has a good record against Netherlands in recent tournaments. The main thing is that will they get something in the first game with Germany. If they get a draw from there i could see them qualify.

Portugal smoked Bosnia in last Play-off game. They might still have that fire in them during the tourny when push comes to shuv.
Another full reded card game between Netherlands and Portugal????????? (probably the deciding game since Germany just too damn good)
Denmark most likely 4th

Wow!

We've been in some pretty sick Euro groups - 1988 Spain, Italy and West Germany; 2000 Czech Republic, Holland, France - but this must be the sickest of them all. The 2nd, 3rd, 7th, and 11th ranked teams in the world. It's going to be very interesting, but of course the Germans and the Dutch remain huge favorites.

Most likely we won't get any points at all but our chance is to somehow earn a draw against the Dutch in the opening match, beat the Portuguese, and hope it'll be enough, or hope that the Germans will already be through when we meet them, cause I expect us to get spanked by a full-strength Germany.

There's no doubt that worse teams will get further in the tournament than the two losers in this group.

Yup, because scoring three goals on ten men and conceding one on them is absolutely smoking us.

I must agree with my fellow forumer here. I will be cheering for Netherlands here, but I do believe Germany will win the group, with Netherlands 2nd.

I don't like C. Ronaldo and while I have nothing against Portugal I believe they'll only end up third. They usually step up their game at the Euros and WC and even though Denmark did well against them in the prelims I believe that will not be repeated.

Netherlands-Portugal is bound to be one of the most interesting games in the group stage.

Maybe I included World Cups as well on this one, but if I have money to bet, certainly Germany would be in my list even if they are playing badly which is not the case.

I voted for Germany and Holland, but I see Denmark making things difficult they will play as underdogs and with no pressure.

Surprised at so few giving Portugal a chance at qualifying.

They have played very well when their starting defense is in the squad. Ronaldo, nani, miereles, Moutinho, and Veloso is also part of their quality line up. Plus the coach seems to have improved their play overall.

Holland have their incredible quality in attack, but their defense could use some work. Plus, what are the actual chances of all of RVP, Robben, Sneijder, Affelay, and VDV being fit once the tournament starts?

BTW who decided Lviv and Kharkiv should host matches in the same group? Logic dictates this group should've been played in Donetsk and Kharkiv.... Or Lviv and Kyiv if Ukraine prefers to play in Donetsk. Horrible schedule for German fans.

I hope we are already qualified after two matches. With all respect, Denmark has a good team at the moment but it's very important Holland wins the first match. The second match against Germany will be very difficult but I can see a good result if all our stars are available. Although I can see it end in a draw.

Our recent history with Portugal is very poor... 3 losses and 1 draw in the last 10 years but it has to be said we were in a transition phase then which will not be the case now. We have a good record in the group stage so I'll be confident we manage to proceed to the quarter finals again. Then we blow it again.
