Youtube / highlights thread

Thought this thread would be useful. Japan is one of the more harder nations to keep track of with regards to football footbage so post highlights, compilations, goals etc in this thread!

It is useful, the other threads have been littered with a number of videos and this will keep things more neat and organized. Thanks.

This match was weird because I'm obviously English, yet I was half rooting for Japan in it because a win would have meant far more for them than us.

Check out Yanagisawa and Okubo up front, lol. God, if Japan ever produce one decent striker they will be such a better side. They're like Portugal, a team full of midfielders.

Wenger commentated some matches from that Confed Cup and was impressed by Akira Kaji.

Thanks for the videos. I'll try and think of some good ones.

no defensive organisation, well no cover from the midfield and the defence wandering around aimlessly with no co-ordianation, again does Sven do defensive drills other than 'all get behind the ball lads, and try to get a touch anyway and anyhow" ?

complete shambles, France are playing Ukraine this weekend, our best bet is to offer to buy Dynamo Kiev a new striker if they cripple enough Frenchman in this game, if they take over five out we will buy a new midfielder as well.

i disagree i think France would have murdered us in the first 25 mins, we were not great at all, the Japanese just were a bit scared for some reason, as soon as they realised we were not all that was when the game became a true balance, the Japanese were a much better team than us, that we ran more early on shouldn't hide that fact.

that passed and moved like a proper team, our play had no pattern and was just all off the cuff, our attacks were completely disorganised, even in the first 30 mins.

thx

these words are important to me. Japanese players don't need to be intimidated just because their names aren't as famous as the opposition counterparts. they can stand up and play football as good as anyone. this is why i was pleased when okada targeted the semis.
