So, Who's going to watch the Asian Cup 2007?

I seriously think this year the Asian Cup will be good. A lot of the Asian players are willing to play in the competition unlike recent years where many European-based Asians refused to play, for example, Japan in the previous competition. I hope many people will fill up the stadiums and support Asian football. Im going to Jakarta this summer to watch Korea... and hopefully in the FINALS!! so who else is going??

Who wants to watch some dumb friendly. Asian Cup of course p

This competition didnt clash with Man Utd's tour. Man Utd's money making scheme clashed with Asian tradition

Come on Iran.

Just as long as Japan and Saudi Arabistan dont win all is good.

Could you believe there is an Asian forum where forummers there prefer Malaysia VS MU over AFC Cup?p

I certainly will, can't wait, although as it's primarily a knock-out based tournament, I doubt we'll win the tournament.

Forza Japan!!!

Don't lament the treachery of time;
long have dogs danced over the carcasses of lions.

Don't suppose that their dancing raises them above their masters;
for dogs remain dogs, and lions remain lions.

Insult me as you wish;
For my silence to the depraved is a response.

It's not that I have no response, but;
A lion does not reply to a dog.

I feel ssad, dissapointed, and frustrated when there are people like that out there... not in a hundred years would i prefer a european club when my COUNTRY is playing in its premier continental competition. many think its low quality football, but I KNOW that if people like you guys out tthere ASIAN footall will become as great, or even better one day that european football, and that the Seoul FCs will be as great as some of the european clubs... anyways I hope asians fans fill up the stadium and make it a great tournament, i already know that the Thai fans here in Thailand are...as well as the Indonesians who absolutely love their national tea.. GOOOOOO KOREAAA!!!

we've got some great teams out there, Japan, Iran, Saudi Arabia, Korea, and Australia, its gonna be one of the best Asian Cups out of all by far... and all its European based players are coming!!! but I know that these Middle-Eastern countries play quite spectacular football as well, Iraq, Asian Games champion Qatar, Bahrain, and UAE...

really, asian football is developed but still not interesting
also the 4 host countries are not big teams and they will be eliminated from the 1st round and the fans will not attend the games with large numbers

I'll be watching and supporting Saudi. Actually, I was hoping to catch one or two games in Indonesia, but that's looking less likely.

As for some Malaysian "fans" , I would like to round up every single one of those gloryhunters who would show up for the Man Utd game, and take them, the Malaysia FA and the match organisers and throw them into the Malacca strait. The pirates or sharks should finish them off. They are a disgrace for football.

Dont worry mate, MU just released a statement that they are canceling the Malaysia match!

I just dont understand WTH MU coming to Malaysia will improve Malaysian football? Arsenal already went a trashing party there, Brazil too, even MU also enjoyed trashing Malaysia before; and all I see is declining of Malaysian football!
Celebration? By seeing my national team been humiliated by a club that from a nation that gave my nation independent after they conquered for centuries?

But as always many fans are moaning coz of the canceling!

Australia will beat everyone its group, only challenge might come from Iraq, in the rest of Asia u only really have Japan, Sth Korea, Iran and maybe China that will pose a real threat to Australia.

Not interested. The level of competition is still too low for me to enjoy.

Never let desperation make you gullible.
