I'm Japanese, so I hope Nakamura wins (Nakata has no chance).
Nakamura was a strong candidate for 2004 Player of the Year last year.
But he missed the title ultimately.

IMO Park will get the title.
He left nothing to be desired in 2004-05 season.

By the way
Liverpool offered a 15m contract for Al-Montashri

I think he will be one of the greatest Defenders in Asia

Where did you read that? Is it something serious or just a rumour? And what is his strenghts and weaknesses?
I know he is pretty young, 23 years old, and he must be a quality player since he has gotten the best player award in Asia, even if it was just because the biggest names could not attend.
And what is the deal with Saudi-Arabian players not allowed to play for european clubs, or is that just a myth. I know Al-Jaber (great player by te way) has had a spell in Wolves.

yeah i heard that somewhere as well.... from what i ve seen of him, Al Motashri seems like a really solid defender, best back in asia no doubt. He reminds me of an asian Rio Ferdinand. Tall, strong, fast, skillful, comfortable on the ball....really good. Would do well in England.

the whole awards was a farce... the award would only be given to the person who CAME personally to the ceremony... which pretty much means the likes of Park (and other european-based players) COULDN'T win the award coz they couldn't be in Kuala Lumpur on that particular day... what a joke..
