Coach of Korea in '98 WC

Cha Bum Kun was coach on the first two matches (vs Mexico & Nederland), but vs Belgium coach was Kim Pyung Seok. Was Bum Kun sacked?

Yep, after humiliating 5-0 defeat against Holland. South Korea was completely outclassed at that match, even the goalkeeper looked so frustrated when the 5th goal went in. It's the first and only time in my life I saw South Korea was beaten like that.

Yes he was sacked, and I think banned from Korean football for five years after making a lot of bad comments about the KFA. That's why he went to China to coach, but they changed their minds before the 2002 World Cup as they needed him for marketing and image purposes.

I don't really mean about the scorelines, but more about the morale of the players in the game. At World Cup '98 match against Holland, their players were hugely demoralized and depressed.
