Yeah, there're so many surprising news in this year Tiger Cup so far. Singapore held Vietnam draw and the host is also being beaten 0-3 by Indonesia. And also Thailand has the same fate too with Myanmar and Malaysia. I couldn't believe my eyes that Malaysia beat Thailand, they were very bad during World Cup Qualifier.

But I think Thailand is being unlucky to have Ivan Kolev as their coach, he is not a good coach compare to Peter Withe. I think a good team like Thailand deserves a better coach than him.

Anyway, I am happy my NT playing so great this time. The Vietnam match is our best match so far.

Unlucky! As a group winner, we should play away first, and why the hell we play on Jakarta at 28 Dec? It gives our opponent more advantage if the second leg play with extra time.

Btw, we miss Ilham and Boas "Ronaldo7" at the first leg.

Malaysia could have always beaten Thailand, its just that we don't play with our heads. The only reason we beat them this time is because the Thais are playing with a young team who are relatively inexperienced compared to Malaysia.

I don't think we'll be able to make it past Indonesia in the semis. From the way we are playing, we'll take a beating. The Indons are too fast for us.

I don't know which team are playing the best footie so far in the tourney, because the only matches that the TV stations here show live are the matches that Malaysia are playing in. There's not even a highlights show. Pretty much reflects to extent of hopelessness malaysian football is in right now. Even the biggest footie sponsor in Malaysia right now, Celcom, is sponsoring the tv coverage of EPL instead of becoming the official sponsor for the local Premier League.

Anyways, good luck too all who qualified for the semis.

why does Taufik Hidayat not play for indonesia?

Welcome him and let him take his place at the council fire of my people. He is Uncas, my son. Bid them patience and ask death for speed;

yo rascar...

As much as I am realistic abt M'sia's chances against Indonesia, I still support them.

I find it beautiful that no matter howmuch you hate and despise the fact the team you support is playing badly, up to the point you'd want switch channels or switch off the tv, you will still sit through the whole match and hope that they would score.

How was the turnout at the previous matches, karrmadamaii? I read in the pprs today that some 500 Singapore fans will cross the causeway to watch the country play the semis And sorry ya, but Forza Indonesia!!

not sure...but from the live matches I saw on TV, it was very disappointing. I didn't go to watch the games as I was sick thruout the whole thing. Anyways, the attendances are as below, have a look for yourselves:

vs Timor Leste: 500-1000
vs Myanmar: 1500 vs around 3000 Myanmar supporters
vs Thailand: A few thousand vs around 1500 Thai supporters

Crap. The tickets were selling for only RM10, the matches are on a saturday night and still only a few thousand turned up. You know where the rest went to? Restaurants, cafes and stalls to catch EPL.

sheesh.

oh, and OLE MALAYSIA!!!!!!

I'm not sure if we have live telecasts :embarass: but I'm sure we'll get it if we make it to the finals. We're meeting Myanmar in the semis who, from the reports that I read, have improved greatly. Keeping our fingers crossed cos we'll be without our top scorer, Indra.....

GO, SINGAPORE, GO!!!

It'll be a square game Safe, my gut feeling says that you Lions will nick it. Myanmar's just too young, and as with SE Asian team around the Vietnam-Cmabodia-Thailand region, they tackle badly. Seriously.

Just get your wingers wide, use your forwards to pull the CBs away, and let you wingers rip past them and wait for that late tackle. Repeat it a few times and you'll get a penalty or maybe an extra man on the pitch. And pass the ball a lot, and don't waste possesion on quick attacks. Go offensive with numbers, Myanmar lack the tactical awareness to deal with sustained pressure from possesive footie.

Trust me, I'm at least 70% right abt this. We lost to them because we didn't do exactly this.

The only thing that still pisses me off is that I lost my hp the day that the Malaysia FA to said they were going to decide who to be the next national coach p :dielaugh:
