So, who's going to win it?

I think it will be the Argies, they have a fantastic team, maybe the best Olympic football team ever.

Well, going by the comments of some of the Brazilian and Argentine supporters in here, football at the Olympics is the pinnacle of all sporting events and will be watched by slightly more than double the population of planet Earth.

And in answer to the question of who will win it, New Zealand will.

Argentina will be playing their group stage matches and likely quarters and semifinal 10 minutes walk from my home, so I think I'll go and watch Messi and the kids a few times .

APATHY: A word now fallen into disuse due to a lack of concern for it.

Argentina are favourites but Ze's line-up has a potentially phenomenal midfield quartet.

yeah, the guy's a legend

I wonder what the odds would be of him starting a solo from the half way line to then walk past everyone to score a goal

My Serbian line-up if our players from Nantes are allowed to join..

Stojkovic (Sporting)
Tomovic (Red Star), Kacar (Hertha), Rajkovic (Chelsea/Twente), Kolarov (Lazio)
Smiljanic (Espanyol) Gulan (Sampdoria)
Tosic (Partizan) Babovic (Nantes) Tadic (Vojvodina)
Djordjevic (Nantes)

Decent team, only 2 over 23 players in the squad, captain Stojkovic and a guy we brought into the team rather coincidentally, Zivkovic, best player of the Chinese league last year. Most of these guys have been playing for succesful Serbia youth sides, so they have the proper experience.

We'll be missing Sulejmani (ajax) and Kuzmanovic (Fiorentina).
We should be able to pass the group and from there on, who knows.

good luck with that, I heard they have sold out all the tickets to all Olympic events already because this is the first time anything exciting happens in China

Big games are easy than the other games, unfortunately. Every times we have the control the games, under the control the games, during the games we had the some possibilities, some big chances, some big okazyons, something like that but what can I do, sometimes? And….it’s the football, that’s the football, something happened. Everything is something happened. - Fatih Terim

The Argentina squad to win the last one was visibly better than the others. This squad looks to have the same step above. Messi, Aguero, Riquelme, Mascherano, Gago, Zabaleta, so on. It would be pretty surprising if they don't win it comfortably.

Ha! I can go there and get two game packages for all the group stage matches for 10 euro per day. I bought tickets for the semifinals last Monday.

As for the last line.... easy now with the ignorance. We're talking world power here with a cultural history most of us Westerners just don't comprehend the depth of .

NB: Know you were joking, but just the same.

I'd take a guess at:

--------------Ustari
Zabaleta--Garay---Fazio--Monzon
--------Gago-------Mascherano
Messi--------Riquelme------Di Maria
-------------Kun

Although the front four could line-up in any order.
