Ligat Ha´Al 2012/2013

Guess we could already start a thread over here about the upcoming season as the teams are beggining to return from vacations.

For now we are having a relatively quiet summer compared to previous ones in the player signings.
The real issues were staff changes and and owners leaving and arriving.

So anything regarding rumours about the clubs we could post over here.

Gate already gave an initial approach here in a thread one month ago about the final positions. Now that we have reach the pre season and training camps with a better idea of the teams, who do you guys believe will take the title?

Well, we are suspicious in voting for Maccabi Tel Aviv, since i know myself in this forum i vote every year for Maccabi

Anyways, we could feel a different approach and more seriousness and professionalism in the work. Certainly we will befighting for the title and with a good mental and tactical work by Garcia we will be on top.

Guess the team to deal with Maccabi Tel Aviv will be Maccabi Haifa. They are certainly coming strong this season. I like Reuven Atar and he has identification and respect from their fans. Shachar will also certainly sign some players.

Will be entertaining IMO.

Definitely. Loyal fans:smileani:

But the poll normally is a more rational opinion about the chances of winning the title rather than saying if you believe your team will win the title.

IMO we still aren´t so ahead of Haifa and Hapoel in terms of squad quality but we definitely have more depth since we have many good young players from our ranks and a very good coach. That is for sure. We need a central defender urgently.

I seriously think we got a much better squads than both of the teams you mentioned, we just need a 2 new strikers, 1 CB, 1 LB and were awesome...

Well we have a problem since Itzhaki, Medunjanin and Collauti all receive a big amount of money and we weren´t able to sell them. This certainly hurts a bit when we wish to sign in a new player since we are spending a lot of money with the players mentioned.

We need to bring in some good Israeli forward and a good foreign striker.
What are the realistic chances of Tal Ben Haim arriving?

I'd like for the squads to settle before I make a prediction, but I'm inclined to go with Maccabi Haifa assuming they figure out these contract issues with their defenders. Deep team, lots of continuity in the squad, good manager. Golasa could be the best player in the league if he realizes his potential. He's still only 20 years old!

I also think golasa gonna be great under Atar, but lets not forget atar never built a team of his own (from one of the big four) he was only in beitar in the midlle of the season and there is huge different between small clubs pressure and big clubs one.. Ask RBS and roni levy

I agree with you but the difference here is that all the initiatives started by Atar are being supported by Shachar and the fans so he feels confident and knows he could build the new on his views.

Examples of the cell phones we mentioned at the Haifa thread aswell as he is now "suggesting" that all the players live in Haifa so they could feel the city´s atmosphere and identify themselves with the club.

Unfortunately no mid terms. That is true.

I remember when Ton Caanen arrived at Maccabi Tel Aviv and the received him shouting "Ton Caanen, Ton Caanen, Ton Caanen, oy oy oy oy oy oy" like in the Mashiach song rythm"

Well Caanen was portrayed initially as a good coach and then when he left people said he was not worthy. It is the lack of mid term i mentioned.

IMO he was a good coach but not from a really big level. He did a good job Cyprus for example with a limited team with limited resources.
