2011/12 Pre-Season Awards

Pick who you think will or should win the following awards for the the upcoming season:

Player of the Year: Eliran Atar (Maccabi Tel Aviv)
Breakout Player of the Year: Idan Vered (Maccabi Haifa)
Foreign Player of the Year: Pedro Galvan (Bnei Yehuda)
Domestic Player of the Year: Eliran Atar (Maccabi Tel Aviv)
Golden Boot: Omer Damari (Hapoel Tel Aviv)
Keeper of the Year: Dela Aiyenugba (Bnei Yehuda)
Defender of the Year: Nivaldo (Maccabi Tel Aviv)
Israeli Abroad Player of the Year: Lior Rafaelov (Club Brugge, BEL)
Manager of the Year: Nir Klinger (Hapoel Beer Sheva)

It will be interesting to compare the predictions at the end of the season to see what were expectations and what they became.

Honestly it is a kind of blind guess since the season is too long and many things could happen.

I will give a thought and reply it later.

According to my picks you guys could observe that I really bet on Maccabi Tel Aviv this season

I believe everyone entered in a consensus that Nivaldo is a very good defender and I believe that he will be picked if he doesn`t get injured.

My bet of breakout season is Dela Yampolski he has shown until now he will be important for Maccabi Haifa and IMO this season he will impress and make an impact.

Collauti has begun really well scoring goals, if he keeps this rate and Maccabi Tel Aviv really fight for the title he will be the top scorer (if Atar doesn`t be selfish and permits it)

As for the manager of the year, if I bet on Maccabi Tel Aviv for the title probably Moti Ivanir will receive a lot of credits since it wil happens since 2003 while building a competitve team and all. BUt my bet goes for Yossi Abuksis who has shown to be a good leader and IMO will surprise with Bnei Yehuda this season.

I also believe Harris Medunjanin will have his best season in Israel and show all his potential.

I might change my Manager of the Year from Klinger. I don't think the Beer Sheva youth experiment will result with the club in the Top 8.

It was a tough call between Aiyenugba and Haimov, but I went with Aiyenugba since he has more experience. I think Haimov will be the next starting keeper on the NT but he needs a few more years of fist team football.

After this season I think Atar will dominate and score 25 league goals. He'll most likely be sold next year but he will be worth more than 6 million euros.

As for Galvan I expect a great season and for him to be sold to either Hapoel or Maccabi.

Its hard to say who will do well and who won't, but I do think Atar will be the player of the year.
