2011-2012 Budgets

Here are the only numbers I have:

Maccabi Tel Aviv: NIS 80 million ($23.5 million/€16.5 million)
Beitar Jerusalem: NIS 25 million ($7.5 million/€5 million)
Hapoel Beer Sheva: NIS 20 million ($6 million/€4 million)
Maccabi Netanya: NIS 17.5 million ($5 million/€3.5 million)

If anyone has information on budgets for the other clubs then please add them.

Also interesting the Maccabi Tel Aviv budget since the team hasn´t made pratically any purchases, but still have an elevated sum.

I assume Haifa will have around NIS 50-60 million and Hapoel around NIS 40 million.

Could be, but in Hapoel´s case because of this fight between Harel and Tabib it is a bit unpredictable.

How is this if you compare to leagues of similar level like Austria, Cyprus and Czech leagues? Looks like rather small budgets for being the 17th best league in Europe.

I know for sure that Austria has bigger budgets but I think Israel have slightly bigger budgets than Cyprus and Czech Leagues.

Israeli football has always been very efficient with their budget. They put together squads that are more talented that clubs in other countries that spend much more.

The secret for this is that they don´t waste much on local players, nothing of exagerated wages, but pay well. Transfers from one team to another one are rare, only if it is one of the Big 4 buying a potential player from a smaller team.
So we have more talented players available than Switzerland, Austria and Cyprus that need to waste their money on better foreigners to be competitive. Red Bull Salzburg had almost no Austrian player in their squad (at least in the starting lineups againsy Hapoel and Haifa).

Apparently Beitar is negotiating with a Jewish American group and this may be a positive sign even though Gaydamak has given the veto twice already with previous buyers.

If they consolidate the deal I believe this won`t change the budget, at least not for this season.

Apparently with a 16 club there is a bigger chance to have teams with more financial difficulties or a limited budgets, so they would eventually reduce this number. For instance I imagine what will be the budget of Ramat Ha Sharon for this season?
