Shai Maimon

Hi everybody,

I'm currently seeking information about a player. Could you tell me what kind of player Shai Maimon is ? Is he technical good, what about his speed, is he good in heading and passing ?

And what could you tell me about his character ? Is he a difficult player, what's his personality like and is he often injured ?

Thanks in advance for the informations !!

Maimon Is a Central Back, 25 years old, jersey no. 5
Basically he is M.Haifa's 3rd option player for the position (right after Benado and Pylyavsky who are both in the starting squad), meaning he is usually a sub from the bench if he plays at all.

He is quite a good header, and a decent blocker one-on-one, but is not something special technically-wise and is a bit better than average in speed (in israeli terms) being faster then Benado (well the dude is like 38) but significantly slower than Pylyavsky.
Also not much on the attacking end, starting from his pro debut season in 2003 he scored one or two goals.

This year he started as the first-squad center back alongside with new purchase Kanuto, but a series of mishaps and mistakes and miss-communication between the too producing poor results that cost Haifa points alongside with returning veteran Arik Benado outplaying the both caused him to be sent to the bench and Kanuto was released. The joining of Pylyavsky straight into first squad caused him to be sent back to the bench for most of the rest of the season.

He is not a problematic player and is fairly disciplined and in shape all year-round with no injuries in the past few years, but he is vocal about not getting a lot of chances and wanting a transfer to another team in the league. He rather earn less and play full 90min.

Probably in the 2011\2012 season he will transfer.

hope this helps

BakaWarsh summed up pretty well about Maimon. I would just add that he took key part and was starter for the Israeli U-21 side that qualified for the Eurocup held in Holland in 2007. He played alongside Dekel Keinan who today plays for Cardiff City.
Maimon was initially called up for the senior NT squad under new coach Luis Fernandez, but after being benched at Haifa and not keeping a good sequence of performances he ended up being discarted.

Any particular interest for the player? Is your team rumoured to sign him?
