Teams: Maccabi Tel-Aviv, Ajax, MTK Budapest, Israel
We have reached the final stage of the Liga Leumit. We have already four guaranteed teams (Hapoel Kfar Saba, Ironi Ramat HaSharon, Hapoel Rishon LeZion, Maccabi Herzliya) and three teams fighting for two spots (Hapoel Raanana, Hapoel Herzliya and Sektzia Ness Tziona).
Kfar Saba leads with 65 points followed by Ramat HaSharon with 60, the difference today would go to only three points after the kizuz. But the real deal at Leumit is the distance to third place Rishon Lezion. For Kfar Saba they have a 13 points lead which means a 7 points gap which is a considerable advantage in five rounds to be played. So the team commanded by Tomer Kashtan is really close to return to top flight.
Ramat HaSharon has kept itself during the whole season in the promotion spots, but had a small slump in the last rounds which enabled Maccabi Herzliya and Rishon Lezion to create hopes.
Raanana and Hapoel Herzliya are pratically qualified as they need one point to qualify for the top playoff, while Ness Tziona needs a miracle as it must beat Hapoel Herzliya away and cheer for Raanana to lose to Bnei Lod which has no motivation (is guaranteed in the mid playoff which means they could go to the beach already in April). These teams will most likely aim to reach the third place which means a last chance shot in a playoff game against the 14th place of Ligat Ha´Al.
On the lower part, Ahva Araba is pratically relegated while Ironi Jatt is trying to make a last grasp to reach Hakoach Ramat Gan and Hapoel Nazrath Illit which has made an impressive run in the second part of the competition to leave the red zone and have a more or less morale boost to the playoffs (They were deducted 9 points due to budgetary irregularities).
