Europa League 2nd QR: Maccabi Tel Aviv Vs. Mogren

Vs.

Tournament: Europa League Second Qualifing Round

Stadium: Bloomfield

Date: July 15th

So this is it folks. After three years Maccabi Tel Aviv returns to Europe and will start their campaign against Mogren from Montenegro at Bloomfield on July 15th.
The team has recently made a good training camp in Holland with good displays and results and has made the yellow and blue fans confident ahead of the season.

The expectations are high and Maccabi`s goal in Europe this season is to at least reach the Europa League Group stage.

Probable lineup from what we have seen in the training camp:

-----------------------------Strauber---------------------------------

------Saban-----------Strul------------Nivaldo--------------Ziv-------

---------------------Baning---------Yeini---------------------------

-------Itzhaki (Atar)-----------Medunjanin---------------Buzaglo------

----------------------------Collauti-----------------------------------

Tzahov Ole!!

I doubt if Atar will start, and don't forget about Yuval Avidor. He is giving Avi Nimni a headache right now because he scored three goals in training and looked sharp.

With Nimni you never know, he just might give Avidor the nod as Golasa said..

Cause both Itzhaki and Atar have been injured and didn't took full part of the training camp.. so I do think we'll see Avidor in there.

No idea what to expect, but I know Haris and Buzaglo will put on a show... Avidor constant movement is just a blessing for this guy, with both of them behind him he just need to fix his finishing and he's set.

Oh and Klemi Saban will suck

True Avidor is on fire at the training camp and this is a good sign. Shows that he is motivated and that this will only increase the level of our strikers who will seek to improve to show Nimni their worth.

Like Stanko said, he is a fine player, if he only had a better finishing....

As for Atar, most likely he will start because Itzhaki has just recovered from his injury and if the players are still in pre season fitness Itzhaki is still in his vacation one Of course in normal conditions I would start him, but in this specific game against Mogren guess he will be at the bench.

We should start a campaign to place Malul as the rightback

Actually for tough games my prefered move would be Ziv at the right and Roni at the left, but that could change as I havn't really seen Ziv play for about 2 years orso

Maybe Maccabi Haifa will sign Lior Jan. That'd be a nice fit for them. They need a center back.

Hopefully not. Lior Jan will still be useful to Maccabi Tel Aviv and he said he wishes to return.

For sure the best Maccabi squad in many years. They will easily win this game, but with Maccabi TA you never know

Don´t bring bad fluids we don´t want a "Santa Coloma effect" again:smileani:

But this Maccabi team is showing good strengths and I don´t they will fail. They have build up a good team.

I think Maccabi will win both games without too much trouble from Mogren, but it gets difficult since they are not seeded next round, but I looked at a list of the expected seeded teams in round 3 and I think Maccabi could beat half of them(the list!l As long as Maccabi does not get teams like Liverpool or Juventus they should do okay.

Yeah we will need some luck as well in the draw. Hopefully we could do so. We have a very strong squad this season.

This Maccabi team is the real deal and I would expect them to win by at least 3-goals. The only thing that would worry me in the upcoming rounds is the defense corps. All of their first team defenders are 30 years old, and Strauber has always been shaky. He gives up too many bad goals.

Maccabi will be the best and most dangerous of the unseeded teams in the 3rd qualifying round. But they have to play to their strength which is their attack.

So after all the fuss from the new signings who is making all the difference until now is Yuval Avidor. Finally he has blossomed?

He changed the game and he will probably be very important in the second leg since Mogren can`t play like they did in Tel Aviv in a bunker.

I don't know, I don't think you can learn football in 2 months

I think he's in a good run.. but a bench player nontheless.. last year flashbacks are too much for me to change my mind right now.

Although if he does up his finishing he will be great even without having no touch with the ball whatsoever or ability to actually keep theb all next to his feet when he dribbles, cuz his movement and speed lets him get goal opprotunity no matter what.. he would have like close to 10 goals last year if he had his scoring boots on.
