Speaking of that, I had a horrible dream all Israeli teams got stunned by minnows, with the exception of Bnei Yehuda Which made the group stage....and I tip Hapoel Tel aviv To be in the Champions league, finish 3rd and then go on to lose in the europa league last 32, Maccabi Haifa in the europa league groupstage, get knocked out. The rest of the teams, will be knocked out in the qualifying phase.

Yeah, now that is a dedicated fan, dreaming of our Israeli clubs

Well Bnei Yehuda drew today 0-0 against Ulisses in Armenia. The oranges should go through in the return leg at Bloomfield.

It is only beginning of the season and some players haven´t even signed yet, guess they only returned from vacations last week. So it is understandable if they can´t produce good results right now.

My thoughts are:

Hapoel Tel Aviv: To reach at least the playoffs of the Champions League qualifiers. If they have a good draw I believe they will make it to the Group Stage, but won´t pass. In Europa League if they don´t qualify for the CL, they should pass the Group Stages.

Maccabi Haifa: To reach the group Stages and pass to the round of 32.

Maccabi Tel Aviv: To reach one round before the Europa League Group Stage, if the draw is good to reach the Group Stage.

Bnei Yehuda: At most one round before the Group Stage.

I think if Macccabi Tel-Aviv play well, as long as they don't face a really big club, they should make the group stages. Beitar really needs to step up this season so that all four of our European slots make at least the group stage level of European competition. This would really help our coefficient.

Yes and that is why I cheer that the Big 4 teams reach Europe because in theory they have more ocnditions to raise our coefficient. Beitar needs to start at Europa League and collect points because the way they stand they will always be unseeded and therefore the chances to advance in higher stages are slim.

Maccabi Tel Aviv are currently seeded, but on the next round I am not sure if they will. It will depend a lot on the team they draw as you say.

Haifa and Hapoel historically did well in Europe so they will be seeded no matter what and this is why I believe Hapoel has good chances of advancing to the Champions League group stage especially after this new format that Platini implemented.

If we have a good coefficient this season we could have one more representative in Europe next season. As it stands today we would be the 17th ranked and if I am not mistaken the the 15th team has one more team in European competitions or at least one spot more in the CL.

Indeed the 15th ranked team will get 2 teams in the 3rd qualifying round & also 1 team will jump up one notch in the europa league qualification process to the play-off round. Although if we do it it won't count until the season after the next. Could be wrong though.

The ref missed a hand ball by the Armenians in the box. Oz Raly loses his brain once he gets into the final third. Goal 1-0 Bnei Yehuda Shalev Menashe. Machatzit.
