What has changed at Beitar?

Beitar trashed Ahi Nazrath this weekend with a convincing 5-0 at Teddy. It is the sixth game in a row with Amsalem in charge and the team continues with a 100% average with the former Beitar captain.

After many turmoil during the season, from financial difficulties to poor form in the field, Beitar has apparently found its path and are strong candidates to win the State Cup and clinch a third place in the league which would guarantee an European spot next season.

What has changed in the capital in the last months? Or is it a series of factors combined?

Amsalem let the players do well....

before it was a few players like itzahki and tamuz who were being intruscted to do well. Now its a full team effort! and we got a chance to show it in the playoffs

Guess we had the same votes.

Amsalem is certainly one of the reasons. Maybe he still has to prove his reputation as coach, but certainly he is one of Beitar´s main names in its history. He has leadership, and experience.

Above all, Amsalem played with most of these youngsters and he knows their strong and weak points. He earned the respect of the players and this made them play with more motivation and made them believe on their potential. Merits to Amsalem.

The fans are also to praise. They were with the club during the bad moments as well and now are receiving the prize for its support.

Ofcourse the change came from replacing Shum with Amsalem!
The players hated Shum with his amatur style of managing, of never giving the whole team a chance and alwys sticking to same players, of his low self confidence shown in every interview(always talking about his past to defend himself, changind the team goals based on results), of never investing in tactics(he said that telling players where to stand is no his job,p-lease....).
The minute that he was fired the whole team felt a big relief.
Amsalem tough inexperienced made the team play with high motivation, unlike Shum, by simply giving the players who work the hardest a place in line up, thus we see players like Moyal,Denin,Ben Shushan who were beraly substitutes becoming regulers.

This whole season is a proof to how importent it is to pick the right manager.

p.s.
6 out of 6!!!!

Well needless to say you would the first one to pick the Shum option as one of the changes

But definitely Amsalem has made a difference. The key word is motivation as you said, the players play for him and for the club.

One thing I like about Beitar (and Maccabi made this season as well) is giving chances for the youngsters to play. The team plays with much more will.

I am almost convinced that Beitar will pass Maccabi for third place spot if things don`t change.

So, only 5 games, and who hosts them, I am guessing the team that's first at the end of the season hosts all 5, 2nd placed team hosts 4, 3rd place team hosts 3 and then so on and so fourth.

Beitar won´t get the title, but they are firm for the third place spot.
