Round 16: Hapoel Tel Aviv vs Beitar Jerusalem

vs.

Venue: Bloomfield

Kickoff: 20:00, Monday, January 4th

Always a tense and intresting game between Hapoel and Beitar. Both teams come from bad results and are looking forward for recovery. During the week, Hapoel showed intrested in signing Barak Itzhakim, but Beitar responded with an oronic phrase: "Take Itzhaki, give us Vermut and Natcho". The game promises to be very hot, Hapoel wants the title, Beitar to save the season and try an European spot.

Not looking forward to this game........
But anything can happen. Hapoel are good, but Beitar always have a natch to try and yearn some points. I hope they do. We are struggling right now and we need a European spot atleast.

We need to win another State cup for European spot!

As for the game, I think Hapoel will win, but they are without enyeama, right?

Exactly. Without Enyema, who has saved Hapoel several times this season. It is always a tense game and you never know what to expect, but Hapoel Tel Aviv are favourites for this match.
If Beitar defense doesn´t crumble like they did last week against Maccabi Tel Aviv they might have a chance.

Im just worried about the Shechter factor. He's too good!

But also, seeing Hapoel tie to Acco wasnt impressive

If i were a Hapoel fan i would be more worried about defense. Badir won´t play due suspension and Yadin will leave his post as defensive midfielder and cover the heart of defense alongside Douglas Da Silva. Plus, Vincent Enyema is not there since he is playing with Nigeria in the Africans Cup, Beitar has a very good attack.

Beitar´s defense is not very solid aswell this season and certainly Shechter will bother them a lot. It should be an intresting game with a very tense atmosphere that always surrounds this game.
Vey unpredictable IMO.

Probale lineups:

Hapoel Tel Aviv: Nir Abarbanel; Dani Bonder, Avihay Yadin, Douglas Da Silva, Dedi Ben Dayan; Zurab Menteashvili, Bibras Natcho, Gili Vermut, Michael Zandberg (Eran Zahavi). Itay Shechter, Maharan Lala.

Beitar Jerusalem: Ariel Harush; Avi Rikan, Shimon Guershon, Tomer Ben Yosef (Arik Benado), Eitan Tibi; Kobi Moyal, Paulo De la Haza, Idan Tal, Aviram Baruchyan; Toto Tamuz, Barak Itzhaki.

Halftime result: Hapoel Tel Aviv 2 - 1 Beitar Jerusalem

Maharan Lala scored after a good assit from Vermut in the 12th minute. In the 34th minute Eran Zahavi was brought down by Tomer Ben Yosef inside the area and referee Meir Levi sent off the Beitar defender where Dedi Ben Dayan scored from the spot to make it 2 - 0.
Five minutes later, Barak Itzhaki managed to cut the lead with a good header.

Two straight defeats in Bloomfield with a 4-3 result. Beitar needs to review their defense. I mean they manage to score 3 goals on both Hapoel and Maccabi in away games, but lose the games because of their poor defending system.

Maimon would be a very good signing to any other team in the league. This season the defenses are really weak and Maimon is a player that would be a starter at any team in the league. Certainly Beitar should make a move and hope Maccabi Tel Aviv makes the bid before the period. Maimon already said he wants to leave Haifa.

I watched the whole game and Beitar played pretty well dominated the first half, but Hapoel were better at creating chances into goals, Hapoel turned it up in the second and scored two goal, then they relaxed there play, which allowed Beitar to score 2 goals, and yes Beitar really needs defenders, they already have an amazing goal keeper and there strong up front, but there defense is horrible, I wonder though if the owner splash the cash and buy some quality defenders.
