Champions League Playoff: Red Bull Salzburg vs Maccabi Haifa 1st game

Vs.

Venue: Red Bull Arena

Kickoff time: 20:45

Haifa begins today its last round to reach for the second time its history the Uefa Champions League Group Stage.
Coincidence or not the time Haifa qualified, they beat an Austrian team, Sturm Graz.
The game will take place in Red Bull Arena and the curiosity is that the pitch is not of normal grass, but an artificial turf, which could give a slight advantage for the hosts.

Elisha Levy is expected to field the following lienup:

Davidovich; Meshumar, Keinan, Maimon, Mesilela; Kiyal, Colma, Gadir, Rafaelov; Katan, Dvalishvili

Good luck Haifa

well done berko! nicely done post.

I play on turf fields every saturday. Turf fields suck, especially in the heat...you slide and you get rug burns, just standing on the pitch on a hot day can make you feel like your feet are on fire. I don't know if this turf field is to salzburgs advantage, turf means the ball travels much faster than a regular pitch. This all depends on what kind of tactic levi wants to play this match. I hope that we don't play defensive away and pray for a win back home because salzburg has been having good records on the their away games and levi needs to aim for a goal tomorrow. A good result would be a draw, but as I said this team plays well away so we need to really play well tomorrow.

Remember what happened to England in Russia on that artificial crap.

I dont like it, definitely an advantage for Salzburg. But what is most concerning is the defense. If it is anywhere near the same level against that Kazakh team, then they are finished, im talking 4 or 5 - 0 finished. This is a quality team they are playing.

1-0 48th minute

Maccabi Haifa have certainly been the better team and deserve to be leading.

Ghadir has impressed me.

It's all over! Fantastic result!

2-1 win AWAY from home. Haifa are in prime position for the group stage as long as they don't play like they did at the beginning of the home tie in last round.

I'm absolutely thrilled

MACCABI HAIFA IMPERIA!!!!HAHAHAAHAH the best itme in israel!!!!!

lets just not break apart on the second leg, they are a good team away salzburg, but we played great, we play like this next leg and we go through. In my opinion this could have even ended in a bigger victory for haifa, but i'll take the 2-1

HAIFA IMPERIA!!!!
