Updating the weekends performances.

Borussia Monchengladbach: Roberto Collauti played and scored one goal in the clubs 3-3 draw against Bochum. Gal Alberman did not play due injury.

Terek Grozny: Zeev Haimovich had his first official game for the club who won Dinamo Moscow away 1-0.

Well that is what many people said to Haimovich and he had offers from several clubs in Ligat Ha´Al, but the Russian league pays well and even Terek Grozny happens to do so.

If it was FC Moscow than for sure...
I just hope he gets treated well there. There is calm in Chechnya, but i hope they dont use him as a hostage because of his background...

Well of course before he signed the club assured him he wouldn´t have problems playing in Chechenya so i guess it is alright.

Magrelishvili is actually training with Maccabi Tel Aviv. Vitesse have allowed him to find a club in Israel since apparently their coach doesn´t intend to count with the player for the upcoming season.

Yossi entered the match against Spurs late in the match (around late 60) he was great, but Benitez should have put him in earlier even the announcer said he doesn't understand why yossi wasn't starting the match...weird, but i really don't understand why yossi isn't starting. His presence automatically changes lpool's game flow...

why suprised? first of all he didn't start, secondly i'm pretty sure this play has proved himself enough to start every match (i'm aware there are a good amount of choices in lpool and that competion is tough), this guy has proven time and time again (and i've been following up on him in detail (and i mean i don't watch liverpool when he's in the match, i just watch him on and off the ball) and the guy just adds more to the team, more pace, more movement, more excitement..he's one of their best players and for him to fight for a starting 11 position at this point is ridicolous

I think the only reason Babel started was because Rafa wanted to put a little more confidence in him, and starting him on the opening day could well have done that. But, clearly he just isn't good enough for England, so I dont expect to see him start too many more times.
We all know how well Benayouns game is and how much better he can make the players around him. It was clearly evident after he was brought on, creating some chances within a few minutes. There is nobody else on that team that can weave in and out of the midfield like Benayoun, not even Gerrard. Liverpool were very unlucky to not have that penalty called, cheeky little through ball to Voronin who was then blatantly fouled by one of Tottenhams many overrated players.

Phil Dowd (the ref) kept making these stupid faces during the game, I was hoping Mascherano would kick him studs out in the nose. I hate these refs that have these ego's that they parade on the field.

Anyways, yeah I think Benayoun will start most games though, most likely splitting time with Riera.

Nearly all Liverpool fans now realize that Benayoun is the most important player on the team after Gerrard and Torres. Riera might be leaving for Barca/Madrid. Babel is completely horrendous and has well under-displayed his 'potential' ability for a few years now.

I expect Benayoun to start most games as well, with Babel often coming on for him midway through the second half (the way Rafa loves to use Babel)

As far as the Tottenham game specifically, Rafa said that Benayoun had either a slight injury or slight lack of fitness (i don't remember which one TBH) and that was the reason that he did not start. I expect him to start against Stoke City tomorrow but wouldn't be that surprised if Rafa went for Babel/Riera just to counter the issue of Stoke's physical strength and size.

Definitely Benayoun adds a lot to the team and it is visible. The thing is since he is a group spirited player in which all of his teammates really like him, whenever Benitez is in doubt he benches Benayoun because he knows the latter won´t complain.
But it is already time for Benayoun to start and Fernando Torres has supported this idea since he feels better feeded upfront.

haha a true west ham fan talking, but i agree with you there was a clear penalty for lpool again with that through ball to voronin, i was shocked it wasn't called. The ref was crap

At least the league penalizes refs for bad performances. I hope they send that clown down to league one for a couple weeks.

Ben Sahar scored his first official goal for Espanyol today against Malaga. The team won 2-1.

Also in a post match interview, Ben Sahar said he won`t play on Yom Kipur on Sunday evening.
