At the outset I wanted to get a great shot down D-man for my Pens and get rid of the other half of last years awful Smellichar-Scuderi pair.... but realizing what could be achieved here, I decided to find a more reliable scorer to play with Crosby.......and ultimately ended up with the most carved in stone Stanley Cup dynasty in history .

From Pittsburgh Penguins:
R Zigmund Palffy $3.50M (hehehe )
D Patrick Boileau $0.40M ( )
Total: 3.90 million

From Ottawa Senators:
D Anton Volchenkov $2.10M
D Andrej Meszaros $0.98M
C Dean McAmmond $0.85M
Total: 3.93 million

....and then... admittedly we got a little lucky....

From Pittsburgh Penguins:
D Robert Scuderi $0.70M
Total: 0.70 million

From Washington Capitals:
L Alexander Ovechkin $0.98M
Total: 0.98 million

...which seems slightly stupid by the Capitals...

...and then Dean McAmmond has to be traded on... for kicks....

From Pittsburgh Penguins:
C Dean McAmmond $0.85M
Total: 0.85 million

From Carolina Hurricanes:
L Andrew Ladd $0.98M
Total: 0.98 million

...and that seems a pretty good deal for a 4th overall draft pick with a very high ceiling .

...and somehow this one presented itself... with Pens letting go of... Tomas Surovy ( )

From Pittsburgh Penguins:
L Tomas Surovy Not listed
Total: 0.00 million

From Washington Capitals:
L Alexander Semin $1.20M :embarrased:
Total: 1.20 million

...and as this gets us 'a little deep' in the scoring winger department, perhaps it could be a good idea to get ourselves a third line center with a future.... while getting rid of a tattooed Mr. inconsistency... and a little thinning out...

From Pittsburgh Penguins:
L Ryan Malone $1.45M
D Darryll Sydor $2.50M
L Jarkko Ruutu $1.15M
Total: 5.1 million

From Ottawa Senators:
C Jason Spezza $5.00M
Total: 5.00 million

So... where are we...

Mark Recchi "A"
Gary Roberts
Jordan Staal
Erik Christensen
Colby Armstrong
Maxime Talbot
Georges Laraque
Evgeni Malkin
Petr Sykora
Sidney Crosby "C
Tim Brent
Alexander Ovechkin
Andrei Semin
Andrew Ladd
Jason Spezza

Mark Eaton
Ryan Whitney
Brooks Orpik
Sergei Gonchar "A"
Kris Letang
Anton Volchenkov
Andrej Meszaros

Marc-Andre Fleury
Dany Sabourin

Which could give us something like...

Ovechkin Crosby Semin
Staal Malkin Roberts
Ladd Spezza Recchi
Christensen Talbot Colby

...with Laraque coming on for a fight now and then... and Sykora... well .

Gonchar Volchenkov
Whitney Eaton
Orpik Meszaros

...with Letang getting eased in.

Pretty strong team.... although we might have cap issues wihin long... Thank you DreamBRobot

Oh... Ray Shero sends his regards and wants Sens and Caps fans to know that he is sorry. ".. but I'm just doing my job".

APATHY: A word now fallen into disuse due to a lack of concern for it.
