If the guy is Muslim from BiH it means that likely 80% or so that he is of Croatian blood, I don't understand how some people don't understand that, read some Ante Starcevic. Of course though now a days the Muslims of BiH don't want to be associated with Cro, but there are always exceptions and this guy could be part of the few that know they are Croatian. On the other hand if he is a strict yugo-loving Muslim then Markovic is being the jackass that he is and is barking up the wrong tree.

in the papers,
ahmed and anas sharbini from nk rijeka have also a croatian mom and live in croatia but don't have croatian or netural names...

edit:

and now i remembered something, markovic said in the begining of that story that the hns is following a player from a muslim-croatian marriage.

"Srce me vuče u Hrvatsku"

Looks like a good prospect though from what I've read, never seen him play though.

Contenders await Cyprus draw

The lineup for the Elite round of the 2005/06 UEFA European Under-19 Championship will be finalised this evening as the draw takes place at the 8th UEFA Youth Conference in Cyprus.

Elite engagements
Twenty-eight sides will be bidding for a place in next summer's final tournament in Poland, with Spain, England and the Czech Republic entering the competition in the Elite round. They are joined in the draw by the 12 qualifying-round group winners and runners-up, together with the best third-placed side overall, Hungary. UEFA decided to introduce a draw for the Elite rounds of the European U17 and U19 Championships this season, so a new coefficient ranking, which takes into account only the results of the qualifying round, has therefore been established.

Draw procedure
The three teams who have entered the competition in the Elite round have been placed in ranks 1-3. Also in Pot A are the sides ranked 4-7, while Pot B includes the teams ranked in positions 8-14, Pot C features teams ranked 15-21 and the teams ranked in positions 22-28 will be placed in Pot D. The 28 associations will be drawn into seven groups of four teams, with each section comprising a side from Pot A, B, C and D and the teams will be allocated to a group in such a way to ensure that, as far as possible, teams who met in the qualifying round will be kept apart.

Polish engagement
The draw will be conducted by Charalambos Pittas, the most capped Cypriot international of all time having represented his country 82 times, together with UEFA technical director Andy Roxburgh and Jim Boyce, chairman of the Youth and Amateur Football Committee. The Elite round will take place early next year with the seven group winners qualifying for the final tournament which will be held in Poland from 18 to 29 July 2006. The hosts have qualified automatically for the finals.

Tough group i dont see us winning a game maybe against Israel but since they are in Pot A they must be a strong team, on the other hand Croatia should go through and will probably fight for first place with Portugal. btw when does it start and do we play home and away games or is it held in one country?
