By the way, it seems that the situation is more critical for us, because if Turkey, Serbia and we finish on 6 points, we will most likely miss out.

So let's just hope that Serbia doesn't win against Turkey, that would keep things more easy.

Let's hope that Rodney Sneijder slips in the hotel and breaks his legg. Otherwise we'll continue to play with 10 men...

Saw the match on Eurosport earlier this evening, I have to say I was quite impressed by Van Rhijn. Mokthar and Castillion also looked alright.

Congrats to Netherlands, strong to come back like they did and make it through, even though Serbia got unlucky.

Pity we lost in the end. But the luckiest won. Spain was not really better. But if you score in extra time, it's usually decisive.

Netherlands were good defensively, especially Tim Eekman and Lorenzo Burnet.

Spain got that lucky goal scored by Jorge Pulido and then took over the game completely, that's usually the case though, but still, that save on the goalline by Jorge Pulido was vital for Spain and you guys could've made it back equal.

I think we played from a good organisation. That's usually our problem when we blindly attack. Now we had the organisation ok and tried to attack from there. On the whole the match was quite equal I think. But well, in the end one of the 2 has to win. And we could also have lost after penalties. But I think they can be satisfied with their performance.

The stand is 1-0 for Holland against Azerbeidjan, they will play unfortunetly the hole second half with ten men. I hope they know to consolidate the 1-0 lead.

We have beaten Azerbaijan with 1-0, after the first sending off there was another one. So we ended the match with 9...

Goal by Nigel Velder.

Today they are playing against home-land Luxemburg. I hope they will win this game with big figures. This round I see more trouble for Croatia. Azerbedjan seems to me stronger then Luxemburg.

We have beaten Luxemburg 3-0, Croatia beat Azerbaijan with 3-0. Which means that we have a total of 4-0 goals, Croatia has 5-0, so we'll have to beat Croatia Tuesday to advance

Correction, I was too quickly :

We have won with 4-0, making is completely equal with Croatia. Will be exciting Tuesday.

Goals: Castaignos, Isoufi, Castaignos and Janga

Castaignos now up to second place (7) behind Vennegoor of Hesselink (10) in the historical Under 17 topscorers list.

Wissels: 41. Van Ewijk vervangen door Joël Veltman (Ajax). 78. Velder vervangen door Ryan Bouwmeester (Feyenoord)

Luc Castaignos <-- Belgian?

Shame the Turkey game isn't on TV since it's on a Saturday.
