Algeria-Romania 04.06.2014 A perfect moment to start loosing

I just realized we play World Cup contenders Algeria on 4th june. They have an interesting squad, with players like Taider(Inter) Feghouli (Valencia) Brahimi (Granada) Bentaleb (Tottenham) or Lacen (Getafe). Hopefully, they can provide the loss we need to rebiuild the momentum against Piturca. An ugly game against Albania that we´ll hardly loose won´t do it, so we need a good opponent. A curious detail is that many algerian squad players were born in France and played youth football for them, but recently chose to play for Algeria after being chasen by the federation

We have to face that we a are doomed with Piturca. Of course I like he chooses guys like Matei or Fl. Tanase, or that he suddenly relies on young players, but let´s not kid ourselves.

Recently not only Mutu but Max Nicu, an uniterested party, have said he has antique methods, that he barely trains tactics. That is the worst of the package, cause he can be a disgusting character, be moody about his callups, be stubborn, be defensive etc, but if he at least was a guy that knew his job we could do well even when it wasn´t the team we wanted. But we are hopeless with him, he is the package of all things we don´t want and we are going to the dumpster with him, jeopardizing another campaign if he isn´t fired soon enough.

I have a hard time being against our NT, but a couple of wins added to the good game vs Argentina can erase the fragile memory of the fans and press and regain credit for this useless asshole, so we can´t do well in these games, we just can´t. What do you guys think?

i completely agree...even if we would've played a marvelous game against Argentina and won 3:0, it wouldn't have meant anything. Piturca proved over and over again that he is a bad coach. just look at this joke of call ups, yeah there are some good ones but as always there are some call ups which make no sense at all. it's like a lottery which depends a lot on his mood.

LOL

Who wrote this ****ing article anyway? Who cares how religious a player is?

I think Becali thinks like this: "if it's good it's because of God and if it's bad, God wanted to punish me. So the players and coach don't matter!"

If there is a God, I bet he couldn't give a shit about football! And if he does, why the **** doesn't he concern himself with all the people dying in wars, instead.

Guys, didn't you learn from the last time we removed Piti and fell to like the 3rd and almost 4th grouping in qualifiers?

I mean, I don't like the situation either, but I'd much rather win this game and go up some rankings so that we don't dwindle into the 40's and 50's for the next few years as the rest of Europe improves.

Even Moldova could beat us right now, and they're our own people, with no financial backing.

I totally get what you're all saying but again, it's important to not slip for good in the rankings..

Suceava, love the philosophy Al.

Btw I'm assuming a win will put us near 23rd after the world cup.

Guys, I'm tempted to agree with you that we should hope for a loss... But I Can't see Piturca being fired anyway. Burleanu already had the intention to, but we lack the money (apparently). The only way out that I can see is waiting for his contract to expire. It sucks that were given this unfair dilemma and our football has to suffer because of a few idiots (okay, quite a few!) but not much we can do at this point.

Very unlikely. We'll probably be around 35th after the World Cup...

Yeah I don't think he'll be fired, and he's too stubborn to resign. I'm already done to the idea that we have to bear him in this campaign.

I dislike him and he screws everything, but I try to focus in the players and not so much in the coach.

I don´t care about rankings, this idiot doesn´t qualify us for big tournaments either, even when he only has to beat Greece, so what is the point? I want a coach that bring us points

We can´t think of a team where players do what their coach doesn´t want them to do. It´s unreasonable. Besides, Mutu critiziced his tactics and he was never called again.

I believe that when we loose and a crowded national arena whistles him he won´t withstand the pressure

Its actually hilarious how similar our National Team problems are

Every game is so different then the last, you never know what to expect. 2 teams you should never bet on.

This is true for Hungary but not for Romania, we are quite consistent playing our dull style. With Piturca one knows exactly what he will get and what not, no surprises there sadly.

Romania and Algeria have faced each other 4 times in history, with 1 victory for each team and 2 draws.

Weather is like in early spring here in Geneva, about 15 C with rain on and off, colder by the time the game will start of course.

I'll be heading over soon to watch the game.
