what's NT material?

after reading whats going on in the NT thread I thought it would be a good idea to have a thread to discuss players that are out of favor with Piturca or aren't in the NT for other reasons we don't understand

examples:

Ghioane
Sanmartean
F. Costea

discuss this here

well, Piturca is more stubborn than a 90 years old grandma...Bölöni and Jenei for example are the opposite, they called a lot of young/talented/new players to the NT when they were our coaches, some of them being now important players for us! i'm not saying that a coach should change everything that works but there are some positions where Piturca should be more open minded and try out some new options...i mean, does he want to play WC qualification with the same squad???!!! if it's because he doesn't like somebody than he's just not professional enough in this case...how can somebody rate Fl. Petre high...he's annoying me every day more and more, even if he got us qualification, that was a must in this group. every good coach would've done it!!! i want a smart coach who forgets his personal feelings because this is much more important! Lucescu would be a dream!

I don't mind keeping the core but some players are simply useless plus we aren't able to turn around a game when it matters as we could see against Germany, Bulgaria and Israel

Yeah I remember when Jenei made Chivu to play all the games in Euro 2000. I thought he was crazy!

But Chivu surprised everyone in that tournament at the age of 19.

Piturca will keep the same group of players in this EURO. No experiments.

I think he will try some new players in WC qualifiers.

M.Niculae is for sure going to be there if he calls him up..

But Fl.Petre deserves to be there, along with Nicolita.

Ovi petre is arguable.

NT Material is fitting in with the players that are there.
Like those video's I showed you, clearly Lobont,D.Niculae were the leaders and thats why they are there.. great personalities

Bölöni for example called Radoi at the age of 19!! i think he gave his debut against Italy in a friendly we lost 0:1 but Mirel played like an old experienced player...by the way, he and Dica are the ones who should make the next step as fast as possible and go to a good european club!

my hopes for Ghioane are almost zero...somebody would have to talk to Piti that he recognizes him, well, sometimes wonders happen...
Sanmartean is a different case, he has to play some months week in and week out full games to show that he's ready but with Piturca as our coach even this couldn't be enough. he will definitely stay at home which is atleast understandable somehow but Ghioane is something completely different! if we play a bad Euro i know who i will blame...

Agree 100%

We just need to trust piti because he is in the room daily, he is watching the matches, the trainings..

He knows best, if he fails.. then we blame him!

yeah right, some youtube videos from the locker room tell you everything who should be there and who not...you know, every rom. player would have shown "this great personality" you are talking about in this moment!!! for god's sake, they qualified in that moment for the Euros, no big surprise that everybody is happy!!! :rollani::rollani:

I didn't say Ghioane didn't deserve it.. I've said he may not fit the puzzle piti wants..

and yeah, Niculae was a fun guy, lobi too.
then you saw O.Petre didn't even celebrate really.

A family in football would be comfortable to show their emotions

thats bs claudiu... some people are calmer than others ... it doesnt affect the chemistry as much as you think

plus Piturca has to call up the best players possible... not the onest who celebrate the most when winning

you can see such things in a 2 minutes long video?? stop talking crap...a lot of famous players were respected/loved in their NTs although they were calmer than others. you are not a psychologist to judge them.

Don't tell me what I am and am not.

I know people by watching 2 minutes of them..

Marica is a guy who shows more confidance with the NT than Stutgartt.

Chivu was a respected always in the middle but quiet.

D.Niculae and Lobi were the wild fun ones.

Fl.Petre,Rat and Contra were well respected...

Ovi and banel didn't really fit in from what I saw..

Ovi was behind people and like excluded almost.
At one point his arms crossed against a wall..

Sanmartean hasn´t played for a while. I don´t know if he is injured or what as it is hard to get info about Utrecht. However Piturca didn´t call him when he was doing very well either.

Banel is known for his good work ethic, not for his camera work. He is a very modest person, but works his butt off. If everyone played as hard as he does, and would try to be less of a superstar on camera, we would have a lot more good players.
