XT Serie A Rules (created by ToniSamp and Romanista10)
Each manager must have exactly 23 players in their squad.
The different positions are as follows:
CB: Centre Back
SB: Side Back
CM: Central Midfielder
SM: Side Midfielder
AM: Attacking Midfielder
CF: Centre Forward
You must always have on the pitch:
The final three positions in the XI can be whatever you want as long as they adhere to the following rules:
- there cannot be more than 1 GK
- there cannot be more than 4 CBs
- there cannot be more than 3 SBs
- there cannot be more than 2 SMs
- there cannot be more than a combined total of 3 FWs and CFs
- there cannot be more than 2 CFs
- there cannot 1 FW and 2 CFs
3: POINTS SYSTEM
i) Each player scores points for your team in the following ways:
5 points: player scores a goal.
3 points: player gets an assist.
2 points: player plays 60 minutes* or more.
1 point: player plays 59 minutes* or less.
ii) If your player gets a clean sheet (and plays 60 minutes* or more), your opponent's team has the following points subtracted:
-5 points: GK
-3 points: CB
-2 points: SB
-2 points: CM
-1 point: SM
-1 point: AM
- FWs and CFs do not get points for clean sheets.
- If your player's team concedes after he's been substituted out, he still gets the clean sheet.
- If your player gets a red card having played 60 minutes* or more, he will only get a clean sheet if his team go on to not concede for the rest of the match.
iii) If your GK saves a penalty, -5 points are subtracted from your opponent.
iv) If your player scores an own goal, +5 points are added to your opponent.
v) If your player (except for FWs and CFs) concedes 3 or more goals, your opponent gets a +1 point bonus.
- If your player gets a red card and his team go on to concede 3 or more goals, your opponent gets the +1 point bonus.
Once all the points are added and subtracted, your team get the following goals in the final score:
20-24 points: 1 goal
25-29 points: 2 goals
30-34 points: 3 goals
35-40 points: 4 goals
Line-ups must consist of a starting XI and a substitutes bench of your remaining squad.
11 players will play for each team per matchday.
If one of your starting XI does not play, a substitute will enter in his place. This substitute will be the first player on the bench who plays in the same position. If no player of the same position has played on the bench, then the first player who can enter whilst keeping the formation legal will enter the field instead.
Line-ups must be posted in the relevant match thread before the first game of that Serie A matchday has kicked off. If you choose to wait to post your line-up, you may not include any players that have already played or are actively playing prior to your post.
You may change your starting XI and the order of your substitututes as long as none of them have played yet during the weekend. However, you may not change the position on the bench of a substitute that has already played. You also cannot insert a player to your starting XI that you know will not play (or is highly unlikely to play) so that a player that has already played gets substitituted in.
5: MISSING LINE-UPS
If you forget to post a line-up, your most recent matchday line-up will always be used.
Persistent failure to post a line-up is often unfair to other active league members, and in real life, the FIGC penalizes teams for not submitting rosters. So our rules are as follows:
1. If you fail to post a line-up once: the most recent line-up is used and there is no penalty.
2a. Second missed line-up post: the most recent line-up is used, and there is a -5 point deduction from the matchday total.
2b. The same flat -5 deduction will be applied to all future missed line-ups only.
6: TRANSFER MARKET
At the start of each season, a new player list is provided listing all players and their base values. Managers will have 600 credits to spend on building a 23-man squad.
Managers may retain up to 7 players from their previous season's squad but no more than 2 from each position (FWs and CFs count as that same position). This reduces the number of players they need to complete their roster, and the total sum of the keeper’s base values will be subtracted from the 600 credits total.
Pre-mercato trading is allowed between managers, during which only players may be traded between teams. During this time player’s rosters may not be reduced to fewer than 22 and no more than 24, and all players traded must be included as keepers.
There will be two rounds of blind auctions before an open bidding market will open until all league managers have 23 players in their squads. You cannot bid for a player that another Manager already owns.
The market will re-open for a month in January for open bidding to continue.
If you make a bid for a player in the open market and no-one outbids you for 24 hours, you then have a further 24 hours to confirm your bid. If you fail to do so, the player goes back on the market once more and you may no longer bid on that player. If you choose to drop your bid then at that post the 2nd highest bid begins its 24 hr period. If the second highest bidder drops that bid, then the player resets back to base value. As penalty for dropping the bid, that manager will be unable to further bid on that player for the duration of a 24hr period from the drop post.
When bidding, if you do not have substantial credits to fund a bid, you must state how you are paying for it; either by listing players to be dropped or by having deals confirmed by the president or a designated impartial member.
If you release a player in order to sign a new one, you will only get that player's base value back in credits, not the amount that you bid for him; the only exception being if that player leaves Serie A.
Player trades are allowed between managers. These must be announced on the forum once both parties have agreed. There are no rules regarding who can be swapped for who, or how many credits can be included in the deal.
You may bid for a player that is not currently in Serie A or who joins the league in the January transfer window. Their base value is automatically 10.
* If a player gets subbed on 60' / 15' 2T, this counts as 60 minutes.
