Louisa 'Zizounette' Necib scored. Was it a good goal?

The French ladies were very impressive in Germany during the last WC. Seems they've carried on with that form for the EURO Championships. Maybe they could even win it. I was surprised Germany lost 1-0 against Norway - they were regarded as favorites back when the WC was held. And of course France won't have to deal with the likes of the USA, Brazil, Japan, etc.

french ladies are certainly the best in europe. as for the other continents, they fought well against them in the WC. i think that for the next WC they will have their chance.

I wish the coverage for these tournaments was better, at least in Australia - I checked some of our channels, like eurosport, and they don't seem to be screening EURO '13... I enjoyed watching the last WC, I think it really surprised some people, how enjoyable it was, how so many people got into it, and how enjoyable the matches were. The final was really spectacular, lots of drama, extra time, great goals, etc. I think Japan fought very hard to win because of the earthquake and tsunami... so it was quite an inspiring result in the end, for them. I can't wait until the next tournament is held in Canada.

For sure they are doing far better than men. And this for years now.

Looks like a good match. Was it a friendly or part of some sort of tournament? I like France's first goal, good ball which opens up the defense and allows the player to receive the pass... Japan had some good chances of their own but couldn't take advantage in part due to some good saves from France's GK.

^ Yeah, the Japanese men beat France 1-0 at the Stade de France via a late Shinji Kagawa strike

Danemark leads 1-0 at the moment, just before half time. Thiney had one dirty tackle on a Danemark player.

Yeah, disgusting challenge. Should have been sent off. The Danish player [Grogaard?] was very lucky.

Overall not a good game from the French, Denmark have done well to disrupt their rhythm.

Maybe i confused her with Necib and that the one who just scored the pen. 1-1 now. The keeper almost saved it.

The officiating in this match has been amateurish.

My mother just saw the match and in a shocked voice she said, "is that a woman?"

France denied another PK. That shove in the back was no different to the PK that was awarded.
