France - Costa-Rica | Monfils - Fognini

France - Costa Rica
Friendly at Stade Bollaert, Lens - 26/05/10

We can guess Domenech will make some try in the central defense. Maybe we will know if Gallas is fit enough to play.

Domenech could drop the hopeless 4-2-3-1 to a 4-3-3 formation :

Sagna, Gallas, Abidal, Evra - Gourcuff, Toulalan, Malouda - Gignac, Henry, Ribéry

4.3.3
finaly domenech admited that we could have polyvalente players and that he can take rid of the 2 pure DMs. everybody is happy, let's see how this formation will do.

I strictly have nothing to say but I want that comes out.

Last training Raymond used Anelka instead of Henry, while Govou played instead of Gignac. Not bad. At least i will be curious to see it.

Official line-up for tonight :

Code:
Mandanda Sagna Gallas Abidal Evra Toulalan Gourcuff Malouda Govou Ribéry Anelka
Seriously Mandanda ? He is certainly a very good keeper, but i thought Lloris deserved the first spot after his outstanding performance against Ireland.

Our left side (Ribery - Malouda - Evra) is obviously more strong and coherent than our right side. For the moment it doesn't look bad at all.

That was a bit lucky for Costa Rica. Though as we have seen in club matches, 4-3-3s and even so-called 4-3-3s are really very vulnerable to counters.

A midfield like
.......Toulalan......
Gourcuff Malouda

forces too much responsibility on those other than Toulalan

Can someone give a second ball for Ribery tonight. Look like he just wants to score one this evening, but his passes are not in time at all.

Not a good moment for French sport. Monfils has blown a two sets to love lead against Fognini and is down a break in the fifth. He's gutted! The pressure of Rolland Garros for French players... Mauresmo, Gasquet, Monfils...

Don't know if any one player was to blame there. In my opinion no team as a whole can't react to counters as well as when there is a clear 4-4-something, 4-2-something or even 4-1-something
