France - Argentina [Friendly 11/02/2009]

France-Argentina
Friendly at Stade Vélodrome, Marseille - 11/02/2009 21H00 -

This friendly looks promising on the paper, but remember so it was two years ago and it turned to be a borefest, with a closed game ended with a goal from Saviola. Here, the XT thread That's the spirit of february friendly.

So for Raymond, it would be an opportunity to find finally a stable defense before the two game in a row of March against Lithuania, which should decide a big part of our future for this campaign.

This is what I would like to see:

-----------Lloris-----------------
-Sagna---Mexes--Gallas----Evra--
---------Lass---Toulalan---------
------------Gourcuff-------------
-Ribery------------------Henry---
-----------Benzema--------------

Defense: Far from being good but isn't it the best we can get today?

Defensive mid: Lass and Toulalan are the same kind of player... The only players CM as Vieria are Flamini and Alou Diarra but I would still give a try to a Toulalan/Lass combo.

Offensive diamond: Looks quite promising if the 4 fulfill their potential and keep their excellent form of the moment.

ALLEZ LES BLEUS!! Avec vous dans la victoire comme dans la défaite!

I pretty much agree with Hypno, here, and i believe that will be the line-up used by Raymond (Injuries apart, of course). We don't have many possibilities in central defence. But hopefully Mexes-Gallas duo will improve with time playing toghether.

Impressive squad for Argentina.

I feel we will get a suprise today, with Domenech calling Gignac. He has already spoken about him before and now since he one of the topscorer... we will see...

Who is better out of Mandanda and Lloris?

After Milan failed to get Lloris, they didn't go for anyone else..

I can't wait for this match

Hoping to see Gourguff prove his worth once again to the world as one of the best upcoming players in the world.

Jani, I've become a huge fan of Mandanda, he seems more than capable to replace the magnifique Coupet.

Cute parody of Trez there:smileani:.As for his future with Les Bleus i think he'd be a subsitute at most.Sadly i think his time with the team might be coming to an end.Absolutely adore the player but at this point with Henry and Benzebut in the mix just can't see Trez being a main stay.A player of class and unforgettable moments, sentimentally i'd love to see him in a France shirt but logically seems more unlikely.

Clichy and Escudé out for this game. Dabo (Saint-Etienne) called aswell. Logically he is a left back.

Don't think those changes will change the starting line-up, anyway.
