Nigeria line up France friendly
Nigeria will play France for the first time at full international level when the two sides meet in a friendly next year.
The match will be played in St Etienne on 3 June.
Officials of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) have confirmed that an agreement for the game to take place has been sealed.
"The agreement for this match was signed in Abuja last week," said spokesman for the NFF, Ademola Olajire.
Super Eagles will use the France game to prepare for some of the matches during the joint qualifying tournament for the 2010 World Cup and the Africa Cup of Nations.
They are drawn in a group that includes Tunisia, Kenya and Mozambique.
Even though the qualifiers resume in March, Nigeria will use the game as part of their preparations for the matches against Kenya and Tunisia.
The Super Eagles host Kenya on June 7 in Abuja and two weeks later play away in Tunisia.
