FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. (AP) -- Carlos Bocanegra, Chris Klein and Steve Ralston scored their first goals for the U.S. national soccer team Saturday night in a 4-0 victory over Canada.

Clint Mathis added his 11th goal to move into 10th place on the career list as the Americans extended their unbeaten streak against the Canadians to 10 matches. The United States is 5-0-5 against Canada since losing a 1985 game.

Landon Donovan had two assists for the United States, which shut out Canada for the eighth time in the last 10 meetings.

Bocanegra opened the scoring on a header off Bobby Convey's corner kick in the 7th minute. Convey was selected the U.S. Soccer Foundation youth player of the year Friday.

Mathis made it 2-0 in the 31st minute, and Klein scored a minute later.Ralston finished the scoring in the 61st minute.

Canada needs to bring their "A" team to have a chance against us. There are just too many good players in the US right now comparing to Canada.

Canada needs to find a way to get their own league going. Until they do they won't have much depth.
