Galaxy Downs CSD Municipal

Rookie forward Alejandro Moreno scored the game-winning goal to lift the Galaxy past Guatemalan powerhouse CSD Municipal, 2-1, in anything but a friendly international on a cool Wednesday night at the Rose Bowl. The Galaxy ended its overtime streak in tonight’s international match and also snapped Municipal’s 15-game unbeaten streak. Midfielder Jason Farrell, who was called up from the Seattle Sounders by the Galaxy, headed home the tying goal. “This is my first goal as a Galaxy player and that made me happy because it also earned me the nomination as “Player of the Game,” said Moreno. “But, I consider the goal to be just the beginning of more good things to come for me with the Galaxy.”
