InterLiga 2006

InterLiga Schedule

The eight teams participating in InterLiga 2006 were selected based on their combined record in previous seasons of the Mexican domestic league. The top eight squads using this criteria (eliminating Toluca due to their championship victory): Group A - Monterrey, Morelia, Pachuca and Veracruz; Group B - CD Guadalajara, Cruz Azul, Necaxa and Tigres. I'm glad that Toluca is playing in the Concacaf Champions cup. Theres actually a chance they could play in New England. They could play in LA provided the Galaxy get lucky v. Saprissa. If they were playing in Interliga theyd also play in LA. LA Toluca fans have it good either way. Fans from Dallas and Houston are getting screwed. Because of FC Dallas's failure in the Mls Cup and the obligation to the concacaf tourney they wont be able to see their team. I'm hoping to see them play up here in April! If they come to Gillette Stadium I'll be there.

West Ham United

Choose a club for better, for worse, but also for life. CHOOSE WEST HAM!!!

Copa Libertadores is just a secondary target for Veracruz

Quote:

Veracruz has their sights in the right place...for them at this state of the game it's MOST important to do well in the Apertura, not to be demoted to the mexican lower division..The Libertadores, actually would be detrimental in their plans, as they stand now.

Well after watching the first game, I think that Chivas is a really strong candidate to win this... I expect a very tough competition betwen Chivas, Cruz Azul and Monterrey

Be aware... Juventus is comming back for what is ours!

I don't know how well Monterrey will do, I'd expect more of a battle between Chivas and Cruz Azul. I can't believe Chivas put 5 past Tigres. Just think what they'd do if they get Borgetti!

Well seems that they will not go for Borgetti, for what I have been reading, they will go for Nery Castillo, the mexican fordward that plays in Olympiacos.

But still, they have a strong team, and the fact that they bougth Gonzalo Pineda, makes them even strongest, I just hope that the manager can run the team and that Vergara lets the team alone (Big mistake to fire Galindo).

Im amazaed that Tigres played so bad, I mean they have a great team with Gaitan, De Nigris, Silvera and Lozano, and with the adquisition of Chamagol they have an amazing team, I guess they mist Claudio Suarez, a very big lost for the team, and in my opinion his departure will hurt Tigres... alot.
About Monterrey, well I dont know wich players are gonna play for them in this tournament, they bougth Reinaldo Navia and Mario Mendez, also Antonioo De Nigris is back with the team, but they will miss Luis Perez in the midfield, I dont know if Franco will play in the tournament, probably their chances are depending on if Franco plays or not. Also today I read that Monterrey sign Gaston Fernandez from River, he is a good player, I guss this probably means that Franco will be sold to some team in Europe (Villareal is the last team I heard).

On Cruz Azul, well they are always favorites, I just hope that this time the team gets the act togueter and play constant good soccer, they bring Arzuaga, and could be a god option in the fron with Fonseca. Yesterday the lost against Necaxa, not a good start for "La Maquina"

Anyway, Im gonna watch matches tonigth and see something about the other teams, Im just watchin Pachuca vrs Veracruz... boring match

Be aware... Juventus is comming back for what is ours!

Well, two teams in the tournament have two of my fav players, Jaime Lozano and Kikín Fonseca.

Where did you read that Chivas are going to go for Castillo? I believe you, I just wanted to the article.

I wish I could watch the matches, but I don't have FSC.

I like Lozano very much, his freekicks are great!!

On Nery, well the news has been posted in espndeportes, but also the guys from Fox Sports said something the day that Chivas played.

About yesterday games... well the game of Pachuca vres Veracruz was VERY boring, wich is very strange if you see the scorer (3-2 in favour of Veracruz), Los Tiburones shioked everybody coz they said that their priority was to stay in the Top League in Mexico and tha the Inerliga wasnt their priority, well yesterday they won against Pachuca.

On the game of Monterrey vres Morelia, the game was better than the Veracruz one, Monterrey show that they are a good team, Nvia scored, and Guille Franco didnt play, I guess today we will know if he goes to Villareal or not.

Be aware... Juventus is comming back for what is ours!
