Bruno Cirillo

The ex-AEK centrehalf is apparently flying to Scotland for talks with Hearts.

What are peoples opinions of this player? What are his strengths/weakneses and do you think he'd be a good player in Scotland? Thanks

He should still be with us. However if AEK kept him, the deal was for a 3 year deal in excess of 2.1 million Euros. This lack of breathing room with his contract, alongside his stormy relationship with our coach led AEK to giving him his walking papers.

So his problems were off field for AEK. You'll love him. I think he was our best defender for sure last season. Passionate SOB too.

I think however we still have some rights to this player.

I always liked him

Cant remember if he played aginst you in the qualifiers last time, but yeah hell do well in Scotland, an english club like blackburn might come calling though.

If he cant get on with Lorenzo, how is he going to get on with the lithuanian jambo... I worry for him

There is nothing fixed yet - We really need an experienced centre-half and he looks solid. Do you know if he played in the Champions League qualifier?

Cirillo is a star, was the best defender in the league this year and in emergencies he can play as a RB to. Hes got a bit of an attitude and dose make a few violent/dangerous tackels though but you will still love him i guarantee it.

Violent tackles? Awesome I really hope we can sign him, we love crazy/passionate defenders!

Overrated. If referees treated him objectively he would never be as effective as he was. He just kicks people.

Your kidding right? Thats just plain bias right there. Using your logic he would have had a terrible CL campaign, but that clearly wasent the case.

He wasn't very good in the CL. Papastathopoulos did much better.

Ive always rated Papastathopoulos mainly after my Football Manager campaigns, the refs seem to bea lot stricter over in britain these days, so he maybe a bad move and you may see a lot of red cards at vital times.

Still obviously got good attributes to him
