Rehhagel's dementia and the Kapsis case.
Right, the German has managed to outdo himself once more. He tried to call up Kapsis to the national team as a replacement for the injured Dellas and Antzas... as you all know Kapsis has not played football for about 1 year now and he is not even training properly. However, for some reason Olympiakos decided to not allow him to join the national team and Rehhagel and Gagatsis not only did not punish them through FIFA as they have the right to do, but even justified them with a shameful press release where they basically said that Kapsis agreed with Rehhagel to not join the team because of being unfit - well, of course he is unfit but Kapsis actually said that he never discussed with Rehhagel and that simply Olympiakos does not allow him to join... Since when do clubs get to decide which of their players go to the NT? Chelsea could not stop Makelele (even himself wanted to retire) from going to play with France but Olympiakos is allowed to make decisions about the Greek national team without punishment? What a disgrace.
And since Kapsis can't join the team, Rehhagel called up... Patsatzoglou. :rollani:
I just can't understand how he is thinking. Stoltidis is an unmovable starter for Olympiakos but he prefers... Patsatzoglou who has just started playing football after almost 4-5 years of injuries?
And Kapsis?!?!?!? WHAT the ****?
How can he ignore Stoltidis and Tavlaridis while insisting on calling up crippled and semi-retired players?
