Backe loses Panathinaikos job...

Mitsou instead of Tzigger met Backe today and announced him that he is no longer Panathinaikos coach.
Belic along with Janjanin will coach the team against Panionios on Sunday.

Who will be the next coach of PAO?What do you believe?
Already the names of Hector Raul Cuper,Ko Andriaansen,Cerse Cosmi and of course Dusan Bajevic have been mentioned by the Greek media.

Why?
It's time for Tzigger to bring a decent COACH to the team.
Many "names" are without a team so he must convince one of them to come.
NO more Malesani and Backe style coaches. They are unacceptable.

It's not easy to find a good coach at this time. You must pay a lot...

Heh... pathetic to sack a coach after just 4 (?) games. Why even hire him if you dont believe in him in the first place?

Paulie: You're not gonna believe this. He killed sixteen Czechoslovakians. Guy was an interior decorator.

Christopher: His house looked like shit!

Because we have a football clueless board, that’s why.
No one at Panathinaikos has the slightest idea about football, mistakes, mistakes, mistakes.
10 years of mistakes from the Vardinogiannis dictators.
WE NEED A CHANGE IN THE BOARD NOT MATTER WHAT.

Hilarious!

Sacking Backe is definitely a stupid decision, especially after 4 games. Whoever gets him now, will be happy.

I find it quite funny in a way though, but who would want to go to a club where you may get sacked after 4 games....we the leeds utd fans are pushing for our manager to be sacked, but after our 4th game i would have said to give the manager a few more games, these have come and gone and theres still no improvement so now i definately want him gone....so why didnt pao do this, and wait ??

I wouldn't say that. Obviously it's not the best thing to fire a coach after 4 games, but in the ''PAO case'' it's different.
The club is ten years away from success, away from nice performances, from anything nice at all. There's no patience in the fans anymore. After 10 years nobody can say ''the team needs time'',meaning one,two or three years for the team to be built.
What it needs is a great coach, with history and experiences, to lead. And if the first results are not good, it'll be ok, if this man brings you the feeling that he works propertly and has the ability to make a nice team. In that case you can give time.
But look what Backe has done so far. It's not the results we're talking about, it's just everything else.
What would you expect from a coach who:
-Works on a system in the entire preparation and changes that after the first defeat??
-Doesn't says even a word, doesn't stand up once, during 90' when his team sucks?? (he doesn't speak even in the trainings!)
-Replaces (or not even starts) his best player in these games (Romero) with a defender(!!!!), with his team chasing the score???
-Says he is happy(!!!) for team's performance in first half after a disaster tie against an Ukrainian village???
-Is not able to enforce discipline
-Has not given the team NOT ONE automatism.

With all these i don't mean that Backe is definitely a bad coach. Afterall his recommendations were excellent. But he surely doesn't match to Greece and isn't the coach to give everybody the insurance for a better future.

Bajevic said in the press room after Red Star's game that he is not coming to Panathinaikos now...

No problem. That's a real challenge for Jigger, if he really wants to built something nice without considering the money. Lets bring Cooper or someone in this level. It's better to pay more for a good coach than for players
