Seitaridis to Atletico Madrid - official

Finally some really good news. Giourkas left Russia and CSKA Moscow and transfered to the Primera Liga and Atletico Madrid. For whatever reason, things were not working AT ALL for him in Russia and it was a shame seeing such a good player struggling so much. Hopefully he sorts himself and his career out and has a better presence with the Rojiblancos! Great news for the national team too as we needed a good Giourkas, and we haven't seen one since he moved to Russia...

Costinha also moved with him, so these 2 seem to be a pair (Porto, Moscow, now Madrid).

Great news. Aweful trip to Russia. Now he's back to playing a normal schedule in a wonderful league.

Is this guy becoming a football nomad or what?

Atletico has good plans for the future and its a nice club. Forza Giourkas!

Not a single player that moved from Porto played well in Russia. People seem to forget that weather does play a difference in how a player will perform, especially if he’s not from a certain region where they could play in weather as cold as -40 Celsius.

Yeah... Dynamo Moscow is now not in the best shape at all. They bought a whole bunch of good players but failed to create team out of them.

And now as Dynamo's owner sold the club it was just a matter of time before all those players ran away. At any rate, good move for Seitaridis.

No one plays football in temperature below -20 Celsius in Russia.
At least not a professional club

Seitaridis signed today a four year contract and was presented to the media.
Good luck Giourka.
