It's getting rather interesting in the transfer market...
Olympiakos has signed another African players. Marco Ne (what a name!) has agreed a 3 years deal and will join in July on a bosman from Belgian (what else?) club Beveren. The "red" press and Ne himself claim that Olympiakos pretty much stole him from Arsenal... which in any case sounds quite far fetched though talking with Yaya about all the free vacation might have done it... Pantos has signed a new contract, Kafes is thinking about it while Stoltidis is kicking up quite a fuss over a pay-rise but is expected to sign eventually. Kouloheris will soon sign for Aris (possibly as an advance pay for the transfer of Avraam Papadopoulos in the summer). And Mexican team Chivas wants to buy Castillo.
Panathinaikos has packed off Olisadebe to Portsmouth and that's it.
AEK is trying to buy Padelis Kapetanos (big lump of meat, 4 goals in 3.5 years of first division football...) from Iraklis. The press claims that PAOK has also made a bid but PAOK deny it and claim that all these are managers' games trying to raise the price... which makes sense, considering that Kapetanos would be 4th choice striker and we have no money. I don't think he's good enough for AEK either, even though they do need an area striker. If Kapetanos is sold, Iraklis is going to replace him with that gun Patrick Ogunsoto, an indefinitely better player. And Julio Cesar has ended all speculation by signing a new deal.
PAOK is trying to sign right back Matej Krajcik from Slavia Prague and is getting rid of uneeded players. Zografakis has already left for Panionios (and they've also brought back Kampantais from Cyprus), Andralas signed for Levadiakos while Koutsopoulos is expected to join either Aris or Apollon Kalamarias.
Xanthi has renewed the contracts of Emerson, Pizanovski, Papadimitriou and Labriakos and is trialing Daniel Sanmartean (PAO's Lucian's little brother).
OFI has signed Peter Ofori-Quaye. Will be interesting to see the little bastard back in Greece...
