The reds and greens make money the only problem is the reds are totally inept at signing talent, and the greens, well, the money goes right into Tzigger's pocket ands stays there while he uses 10% of it to sign new players.
The reds go off and sign clowns like Dani, because Ribo likes him. Funny.
The greens balk at Karagounis, Lymberopoulos, and send them packing, also shipping off Seitaridis and Kyrgiakos. Too funny man, too funny.
When PAOK nabbed the 3rd QR CL spot last season, what happens? Instead of going out and anticipating it by signing some talent, they waste their time printing up CL scarfs and stuff. In the meantime Maccabi Tel Aviv come in and bang them nicely. Sweet. On top of it, PAOK fields and ineligble player.
So they waste a good chance at millions of Euros and an excuse to grab some talent. Nice.
Now last seasona the very least it was respectable for OSFP and PAO in Europe with 10pts and 9pts respectively, which honestly means BOTH were unlikely alittle bit to not make it into round 2.
So alright, their fans are pumped and ready to see some success.
UEFA cup = FLOP.
Alright so there's always next season right? Wrong. This season sees OSFP loose 6pts over what it did last year and PAO 5. Terrible.
Sheit 2002-2003 was the last decent year for Greek football in Europe.
PAO's QF UEFA Cup run which terribly came to an end in Leoforos at the hands of the eventual winners Porto after PAO won the 1st leg in Oporto 1-0 copping a goal in added time to break the aggregate tie.
AEK getting some points going undefeated in the CL and netting some serious goals vs M.Haifa, going to the final 16, PAOK even making it to the final 16
Even PAOK going some distance.
We're loosing ground.
Well hopefully these results knock some sense into Tzigger ad Kokalis. I know as soon as we can fiscally do it, AEK will make some noise in Europe (not yet though), but really PAO and OSFP should be doing much much more.
