Why is Trod Sollid never at fault?

I must admit I'm quite surprised that a coach who has proven pretty much nothing in his career is apparently immune to any kind of critique when:

- Although he was brought in to realise Olympiakos' "European Dream", it was all over from the first match after a home defeat by a vastly inferior opposition.

- Away games in Europe: Nothing changed. Neither in results or the attitude.

- He is too late in making substitutions and when he does, they often turn out to be the wrong ones.

- He doesn't really know how to approach a match. He fields the team too defencively when he doesn't have to (a 5-4-1 against OFI?) and goes too gung-ho when he also doesn't have to (last 20 minutes against Lyon).

- He complains to the press all the time. Not to the Greek one, but there hasn't been a week when he didn't give some kind of interview to a Belgian or Norwegian newspaper crying his eyes out over the useless players he has. Yeah, that should work for the morale of the team.

- No team chemistry. The "Latin" clique is restless with Castillo beating up people, Rivaldo complaining all the time and Schurrer not playing, ever. There is no discipline in the team as shown by the Castillo - Toure incident.

- He has not made his mind up with regards to a formation and several players suffer from this, for example Rivaldo and Konstantinou.

- Rivaldo has been extremelly useless this season so far, but he always plays.

WHAT exactly has Trod Sollid done correctly?

That's a very interesting thread Amoroso.
I think that the comparison between Sollid and Bayevic makes Trodd go hide.If this is the man who will build the new Olympiakos, then i'm a chinese.
Of course, don't expect nobody to admit it,at least for now...Because then,Socrates will be shown VERY mistaken for his decision. And nobody in Oly wants that. That's why Sollid is never charged with the blaim, though everybody is whispering...
What we saw in Lyonnais was a comedy..They complained for Bayevic sleeping in the bench and not making the subs, but Solid turned WORST!
In Crete,it was another comedy too.A man who puts his team against..OFI with one(!!!) offensive player,is NOGOOD for me.
As Amo said, what has Sollid changed in the team so far?
He's done it worst,not better.
The only thing he knows,is asking for new players,or writing articles(!!!) for his country's newspapers,in which he blaims the players he got!!!!!

I think that Oly made a mistake in firing Bajevic the first time, let alone the second time. If you look at the facts, Bajevic is the one that took Oly to their 2 best runs in europe over these last 10 years and the management was dumb enough to say that Oly will never do anything in Europe with Bajevic at the helm. People forget that Bajevic is responsible for bringing in Djorjevic and Giannakopoulos. This time they fired him because of Rivaldo. With this coach Rivaldo is playing out of position and hasn't done anything to help the team but with Bajevic, he was much more effective. Oly fans shouldn't have issues with Bajevic the same way that AEK fans do because he was fired both times and did not flee the club, as was the case with AEK. Now they have Sollied and the same people that wanted Bajevic out, are calling for Sollied's head. Oly could have had 10 years of stability at coach, and now they are still looking for a coach 7 years after they fired the right coach. They bring him back and they fire him after winning the double. IDIOTS!!
