No more football on VRT or Canvas

i know, it sucks, veldrijden is not to bad, but its a belgain sport imo, but I know the solution, that VRT and Canvas start broadcasting NB2 then, we dont need no money to get on television and it would help boost our competition a lot, cause B2 is football hell

Wielrennen and veldrijden are huge here, just as motorcross.
10k people attending at veldrijden, is normal, and the tv ratings are around 0,5 till 1 million viewers.

But I cant understand they are sacking football, back to VT4 and carl Huybrechts or to 2be with robin janssens...

No thnx, then I stop watching Belgian football again, except the free game every week on belgacomTV

The free game on belgacomTV.

That usually like Lierse vs Eupen or actually decent games?

you need to have BelgacomTV (digital tv) in order to get a footie game for free, or you can pay for all the games of your favourite team, or you can choose to pay for multilive, where you will see all the exciting parts live of all the games played at the same time, or you can order 1 game at a time...

I hope you understand?

Damn this is very bad news, if I'm bored on Saturday or Sunday evenings I try to watch (on Saturday) Bundesliga at 18.00, Eredivisie at 22.30, followed by Studio 1 and Match of the Day.

Honestly, Studio 1 is the programme I like most, especially on Sunday evening I see it every week.

Can understand they prefer cycling and cyclo-cross (that's veldrijden, right?), but still football is a sport which should be on public-TV, especially the national competition. In that case I completely agree with the KNVB, for once --> http://nos.nl/artikel/208563-knvb-or...ij-de-nos.html

Against modern football!

yeah it is veldrijden (cyclo-cross)
For me aswell it sucks, cause I mostly go home after the game on saturday, and I'm just in time to watch Studio 1 and then I'm of to the pub... so now I will be bored
and I refuse to listen to the poedel (huybrechts) or to 'autist' Janssen

Modern football is killing its soul..
Being a sport of the people, it is turning into a sport of money and rich

I have just watched the final episode of Extra Time with Frank Raes and Filip Joos. I find it very sad that there will be no more episodes of the show until such times as VRT show an interest in winning back the television rights. Sporza website is superb and allows people like myself to watch all the highlights of the games the next day as well as Extra Time, which is a superb show. Studio1 on RTBF is also good but it is nice to have shows in both languages and if all I can watch next year is Studio1 then I'll be brainwashed into being a diehard Standard fan!

Thanks for the welcome.
I can understand VRT not putting the money in but it would be interesting to see some of what else they fork out for. The BBC sent people to watch football in a studio in South Africa and talk utter nonsense due to knowing nothing about the game. And they are paying Tim Henman £200,000 for 2 weeks work at Wimbledon so he can tell us how he choked in the semi-finals
Anyone lined up to replace Pauwels on Studio1 RTBF yet? Must say I really enjoy Rodrigo Beenkens - he knows his stuff and proves you need not be an ex great player to be a good pundit on television.
Where I lived for nine/ten months (LLN) there was a pub, which had Standard flags and stuff up so I did go for them in the test matches!
