Eden Hazard - Lille OSC

And our Emile didn't show up at the trial

Eden Hazard in action during Lille their first friendly against Cherbourg (0-2). I wonder if he'll be able to get a decent amount of playing minutes this season.

Referee ?

I'm curious to see Eden Hazard in De Brugse Metten tonight

The last time Hazard faced Club Brugge he scored this goal:

Right, back on the wagon

After Kompany started really well in England and Fellaini has made a very promising career move, Eden Hazard has now started scoring for Lille

I read something about Steppe the other day... it came from his old coach though, but he said he was expecting that soon the Eredivisie would be too small for him. Any truth in that? We could do with another Belgian legend in goal, it's been a while now...

But it seems he has the brightest future of those 2 players. So if you talk about the best prospect, it's Hazard p

Imo he's not the best. Has he even played a full game with Lille? Dembele is much further along his development, and it's obvious he can handle a higher level. With Hazard, this is not the case. He has the potential, sure, but he hasn't proven anything like Dembele

Based on what? Everybody's talking about the "mighty" Hazard and probably nobody has seen him play a single game

European Championships U17, where he performed on the same level as Toni Kroos and Bojan.

Lille - Montpellier, where he really showed his class against a very decent L2 side.

The actions he makes spontaneously when coming from the bench. He dares to claim the ball and to make an action. And not to forget, his vision to see where the spaces are.

That doesn't mean anything. In these kind of youth tournaments, 75% of the players who shine during their games end up having very mediocre careers, some of them are even never been heard of again. I remember a few years ago a newspaper or magazine posted a list with some of the best Belgian prospects for the next 5 years; well, only a couple of those guys actually became very good players.

So, on that note, we can conclude that you can't call Hazard the 'best prospect' based on a couple of nice things he might have done, as Dembele has shown so much more, already has a few seasons under his belt and made a name for himself with every club he played so far.

Scotty doesn't know.

I caught the last 20 minutes of PSG-Lille the other day and Hazard looked very busy - clearly Lille's best player at that point in the game. The Scottish commentators couldn't stop talking about him either and said to be looking forward to next weekend because they're covering another Lille game.

Hazard's good performance has been rewarded with his first league start this weekend, in which he scored his 2nd league goal, the 1-0 against St-Etienne (3-0).

http://au.youtube.com/watch?v=85B1klVWVv0

I'd call him up for the NT already - he's still very young and will need to be looked after well, but I reckon he's got the ability already to turn around a match in 10-15 minutes.

And De Mul scored for Sevilla.
