when is the La Lou decision made?

PS and hint for all groundhoppers: I visited the Ieper stadium and recommend that one. Not that the stadium is anything special, but it is literally next door to the Ieper prison, the stand it like pressed against the prison wall and I'm sure the convicts enjoy playing footie in the prison garden with all balls kicked over the prison wall A nice groundhopping trip because of the odd location.

The whole 3A division is quite interesting with some teams that have a background in higher leagues and have large support (Aalst, RC Mechelen, Rupel Boom, ...) and a few newbies that will be a big mystery to be unfolded (Coxyde, Ternat, Heist, ...)

I still think the series are odd. I mean, Heist-op-den-Berg and Cappellen in 3A while the likes of Union and WS Woluwe are much closer to the other teams in 3A? Meanwhile the teams from Limburg and Brabant miss out on close trips to Heist, Mechelen, Boom etc but have to travel all the way to La Louviere and Centre?
Wouldn't it make more sense to add Hainaut and Brussels to the 3A division and instead move the teams from province Antwerp to 3B?

Aalst made some great transfers these last weeks, adding Troch, Galluci, Kestens and De Castro to the group. They also have a law suit running against Le Patre who signed a contract with both Aalst and Deinze.

Looking forward to the new season, seems like we'll finally have a chance of promoting (in a fairly weak division)

Le Patre signed at Aalst & Ronse if I ain't wrong

Without knowing too much from the other sides of the 3A, Aalst should indeed be counted among the main favourites with the transfers they've done.

Hamme will surely want to promote asap back to the D2, just like Deinze. Deinze lost quite some key players though, just like Hamme if I'm not mistaken.

I wonder what the ones like RC Mechelen and Rupel Boom can do. Boom had quite a good first season back at the D3 last season, while RC Mechelen also seems to get away from the D3.

Surely with the planned changes to reform to one single D3 instead of 2 separate leagues. For many teams next season will be the perfect season to gain promotion.

Ronse indeed, mistake by my part

Rumours are going that Hamme doesn't want to promote due to financial reasons.

The lack of Walloon sides will also be in our advantage. Always hard away games and they usually have some strong French players in their squad

Looking forward to Coxyde as well. They're strong financially, so they should be able to do some transfers worth mentioning

Talking about a newcomer. It's quite odd to see no less then 6 (!) newly promoted sides in the 3A.

One of my best friends live in Koksijde, his son plays for their youth teams. They are ambitious and they are managed very well, the problem is mainly that their stadium is barely good enough for D3 but would be a very big issue if they wish to stay at this level or climb any higher. But guess if they can survive in D3 they can gradually expand.

Temse always had a very nice fanbase in D4 and the commune supports the team well (see their stadium which is very neat thanks to the municipality's help), question mark if they can adapt to D3 of course.

Anyone knows how Ternat's ground looks like now? I was there 6 years ago and it was poor, very poor. I hope they expanded it while promoting, because like it was back then it would be not good enough to receive large sets of fans such as Aalst, Rupel Boom, RC Mechelen, Hamme, etc.

Have been looking at the new division 4 series too, saw some new Walloon teams, does anyone know something about these teams in 4D?
Aywaille, Givry, Tamines and Petit-Waret?
What kind of stadiums do they play in?
What kind of fans do they have, also how much? etc.

Also I read this

Quote:
Als Petit-Waret (de kampioen uit eerste provinciale in Namen) weigert te promoveren en zo in vierde provinciale zou herbeginnen, zal het in vierde klasse D vervangen worden door Spy, dat tweede werd in eerste provinciale Namen.
Why would they refuse to go up?

Ternat is still very poor, and will probably lose their ground. They are in a lawsuit with the Belgian government since their ground needs to be destroyed for railway expansion

Would the club then groundshare somewhere nearby (Liedekerke? Denderleeuw? Aalst? Strombeek? ...) or do they have a local alternative. Except some pub teams I cannot recall Ternat having more than 1 stadium, and then the term stadium is even up for interpretation.

Knoert, probably that one team ran out of money ... Other reasons to not wish promotion could be that they think it is too costy but then they would not wish to restart in the lowest league.
Except Aywaille and Tamines none of the teams you named has experience in D4 and none of them have a fanbase worth mentioning. The Walloon series of the D4 is usually the poorest maybe with the exception of the Arlon team which may have a decent fanbase, and the likes of Malmundaria who have a pleasant ground.

Tongeren HM? Did they merge with some other local team? It used to be KSK Tongeren (in itself a merger already, the old ground of Cercle Tongeren can still be seen from the railway ... it is in extremely bad state though with weeds all over the only stand that has not been broken down)

What's happening with Virton? Coming from 2nd division and now lost four in a row...

Probably lost a lot of players as well because of relegation. It´s a pity. If you get that game in summer, it´s a really cool away game. A day in the Ardennes and that stadium as well is quite nicely located IMO In winter it´s a bit more tricky but often the games get postponed anyway in that part of the country. Actually the province of Luxembourg seems to be very doomed soil in terms of football, how a city the size of Arlon struggles in D4 is in fact a mystery with hardly any competitors in the near distance.
