Today The Standaard said that Extremadura-keeper is wanted (badly) by Barcelona. The Catalan powerhouse is in need of goallie now Arnau is injured, Reina turned out to be too young and they finally found out Dutruel can't catch a balloon . That new keeper also has to be quite cheap since Barca already spend lot's of cash.

Anyway I don't buy it. Last year it was teh same story but then he would move to Real Madrid. Let's face it Gaspercic isn't good enough for a topclub.

I heard the rumour too, maybe it is true. I read in a Spanish magazine Gaspercic was on 50-50 with Dudek and the chance is really big Dudek will move to England. I can say one thing for sure. Gaspercic will leave Extremadura for another club. They talk about Valladollid, Las Palmas, Tenerife,...

Who said you have to be a great goalie to play for Barcelona ?

The move looks a bit likely to me. Gaspercic is playing very good this season and all the comments about him in the Spanish press are positive. Against Atlético he played very good too and it isn't a coincedence that only around 6 teams have less goal against then Extremadura..

This could be his big chance and he is almost out of contract. But his transfers were cancelled many times because of the asking price so it could be a problem again.

Hahaha good one Kevin

Buskets, Hesp, Dutruel, Arnau...
Actually Gaspercic really fits in doesn't he?

I think Gasperc' manager is spreading this rumor to get him a better contract at another club like Valladolid or Tenerife.

Barca - Chelsea was soo funny last year with Hesp as keeper.

I think Ronny can make it at Barca, I really do.
He has the qualities IMO.

Why do some keep Gaspercic in the same row as Arnau or Hesp???? Gassy is a great goalie who deserves respect. Be proud that Belgium has the best goalies in Europe thinking of Pfaff, Preud'homme, De Wilde, Bodart, Herpoel, De Vlieger, Gassy...

No he isn't, he just a spectacular keeper. He has good reflexes, but little technique. He isn't reliable enough.

Belgium sure has a great tradition of good keepers, but Gaspercic doesn't belong it that row, neither do Bodart or Herpoel. They ar good keepers but a team as Barcelona deserves better.
