The start of a new, but unreal season for us ...

Swa's death still hangs round Jan Breydel like a black shadow, and his loss will be felt the worse during this new, but not wanted season ... each game over and over, in the 23rd minute, our legion will honour his name

But we have to move on ... It will again be a hard year with many battles to be fought. I expect nothing less than a CL-place, and a better Cup run than this year

C'MON BRUGES !!!

Tom, how did you do those characters in that special font? Classy

Too early for predictions maybe, but:
- Standard will not win the league again
- Cercle Brugge and Germinal Beerschot will have a much less good season than last year
- AA Gent will further rise but still come short to threaten Anderlecht and Brugge
- contrary to what many believe, I don't consider Genk a candidate for the trophies

For the other teams it is not yet possible to make any bets, either too busy with transfers or players impossible to judge when living abroad (strangely enough Tubize and Dender never made the German TV )

It seems the first matchday of the new season is leaked

RC Genk - Germinal Beerschot
Zulte Waregem - Lokeren
Cercle Brugge - RSC Anderlecht
KAA Gent - RAEC Mons
KV Mechelen - Club Brugge KV
Dender EH - Standard
KSV Roeselare - KV Kortrijk
AFC Tubeke - Ex. Moeskroen
KVC Westerlo - Sporting Charleroi

I've got 2 sources who confirm this first matchday line-up

Unless the KBVB is smart and fast enough to change the calendar at one day, these are the first 4 matchdays:

Matchday 1
KV Mechelen - Club Brugge
Cercle Brugge - Anderlecht
Dender - Standard
Racing Genk - Germinal Beerschot
Zulte Waregem - Lokeren
AA Gent - Mons
Roeselare - KV Kortrijk
Tubeke - Moeskroen
Westerlo - Charleroi

Matchday 2
Club Brugge - Zulte Waregem
Anderlecht - AA Gent
Standard - Westerlo
Bergen - Racing Genk
Germinal Beerschot - Dender
Charleroi - Roeselare
Lokeren - Tubeke
Moeskroen - KV Mechelen
KV Kortrijk - Cercle Brugge

Matchday 3
Anderlecht - KV Kortrijk
Racing Genk - Lokeren
Cercle Brugge - Bergen
Westerlo - Germinal Beerschot
AA Gent - Charleroi
Dender - Moeskroen
KV Mechelen - Zulte Waregem
Roeselare - Standard
Tubeke - Club Brugge

Matchday 4
Club Brugge - Dender
Standard - KV Kortrijk
Bergen - Anderlecht
Zulte Waregem - Racing Genk
Charleroi - Cercle Brugge
Lokeren - Westerlo
KV Mechelen - Tubeke
Moeskroen - AA Gent
Germinal Beerschot - Roeselare

Matchday 16 en 17 give 2 real top games, as Club Brugge - Standard (16) and Anderlecht - Genk (17) are on these matchdays schedule.

Tubize gets Club Brugge at home before the reconstruction of the stadium is finished? Are they going to play that at home then or move to a neutral ground for this one occasion? (Tournai would be ideal, they got a big stadium)

Why would they ?

It's just (again) stupid of the KBVB to let those teams play at home against the top teams before they got any decent facilities.

Same story with Dender last year. We also had to pay €20 for a crappy stand of which many provincial teams own better ones.

And Le Stade Luc Varenne isn't that big ... They also have only 1 decent stand.

I don't really know ... I hope they force them to move to another stadium, otherwise we'll be forced to buy up all the tickets in the home stands which can lead to very unsafe and dangerous situations

I guess this will be one of the topics on the first meeting of De Supportersfederatie, maybe we'll have a talk with the government or something ... It's obvious they can't welcome our legion in their crappy accomodations at the moment

Safety?

What's the best solution you think? Making them move to another stadium or 2.000 FCB fans in the home stands which will cost the community tons of money on police surveillance ...

Well, they do have precedents from abroad now. Take Gretna, for example. Weren't they obliged to play in another stadium as long as their facilities weren't in SPL condition?

They were indeed.

But we're in Belgium, not in Scotland. There is no way the KBVB will oblige Tubize to play this game anywhere else.
