Chances are that the last couple of years another topclass player played in Belgium. After Jari Litmanen, Finidi Georges, Kiki Musampa, Nwanko Kanu... now there is Thomas Danilevicius. Yesterday he got a long-term contract at Arsenal
The Gunners decided to take the plunge with the Lithuanian international, after twice having him over in England for trial spells. Arsene Wenger was suitably impressed with the 22-year-old`s talents, and has secured his services on a long-term contract.
I remember seeing a game of him. Along with other Brugge-youngsters as De Cock, De Conink, Pardo it was also the first game I saw of Eric Addo. Of all those players Danilevicius by far made the best impression. he never got a chance after that though. Why? just because he was too young I guess.
