It could be golden boot, but I'm not sure . Anyway nobody else than Koller deserves him :fero:, still I fear Vanderhaeghen will get him :depress:.

Koller is ofcourse the main candidate.. He played good in both 'rounds'. In the first round lots of players will get many points (Lembi, Degryse, Aarst, .. ??) so i think it will be decided in the second round. Koller is the most consistant so he will win it.

If Vanderhaeghe wins it , it would be a disgrace for this award !

As I already said, I don't have much opportunity to see the Jupiler Ligue, but I would give my proposal anyway
I think that Koller, Radzinski, Baseggio and maybe Degryse could deserve it.
But tell me one thing... Why do you all don't like Yves Vanderhaeghe so much? In Poland, despite the Belgian football isn't very popular here, the football magazine "Pilka Nozna" writes allways, that he's a very good defensive midfielder and maybe even one of the best in Europe!
After that what you write on the forum, I don't know what to think about it anymore...

Well Vanderhaeghe is a good player but surely not to win this award. He plays good games, works hard on the midfield and gives all of himself what is much appreciated by a lot of people and the press BUT he hasn't got talent or technique like some other players. That's why i wouldn't find it appropriate that he wins this award. He can have another award for his devotion .. He is a good midfielder with value but not one of the best in Europe He maybe is one of the most working defensive midfielders in Europe

Polbelg, Vanderhaeghen is a decent player, but he isn't as good as the Belgian media want us to believe. I'm soo fed up with all those interviews how he nearly died. . Please give me a break.

It's all because of this idea in Belgium that a footballplayer should be able to run a marathon and that knowing how to control a ball is optional. Thereby someone who runs a whole game long has played a good game. After Real-Anderlecht Antheunis made the comment "I'm pleased: all my players ran their hearth out" the fact that their passing was plain awfull didn't bother him . this mentallity brought suckers as Delbroek and Chris Janssens in the national team.

Coming back at Vanderhaeghen. He is a decent player good condition, decent technique, but not good enough for the highest level. Why because is (don't know how to say this in english)) "handelingssnelheid" is way too low. This doesn't show in the Belgian league, but in the CL or international games it does. The times he needs to control a ball and pass it through is soo long.

So if you're going to give the golden boot to somebody, give him to someone who really has that international class. This is probably the last year Koller plays in Belgium. Wouldn't it be a complete disgrace if the only player of European class (and I'm not even saying worldclass although I should) who played in Belgium for the last 10 years would get this price? It would be a disgrace, but I also think it would be typical :fero:
