Isn't Blondel better in the centre of the midfield ?

Well, from what I've seen he deserves a spot. More then Sonck and other Goors ...

There are better options down the centre ... the guy is simply the best left midfielder we have

I wonder what beef you guys have with Sonck? He's our only half proven forward at international level. Mirallas could become a very good striker and Dembele is nothing but an overrated joke, something like Kluivert but he scores only half the goals Patrick did. No to Dembele in the 'national' team.

Sonck has played, what, 3 matches again at the moment ? If that's enough to call him up ...

Dembele is a class act. He's not a natural goalscorer, but has more technique in his small toe then the rest of the squad togheter. I really like his playing style, it's such a shame he chose Willem II above Anderlecht.

Vandereycken

Bailly and Vandenbussche won't be there in the game against Finland, so VDE had to call up other goalkeepers ...

The chosen ones are ...

Proto
Verbauwhede

And now De Vlieger has been added while Verbauwhede returned to Club Brugge.

Time to start guessing the starting line-up. Steven Defour & Marouane Fellaini are suspended for the game against Finland. I would go for:

Stijnen

Gillet - Kompany - Van Buyten - Lombaerts

Mudingayi - Simons
Haroun - - - - - - - - - - - Grégoire

Dembele - Mirallas

Belgian squad 3.25 times more worth then Finnish

Newspaper Het Nieuwsblad announces today the Belgian NT is worth around 81.2 million euro. Opponent of saturday, Finland, is worth around 25 million. Most expensive Belgian player is, off course, Moussa Dembele, while the cheapest ones are Stijn Stijnen and Guillaume Gillet. An overview:

Moussa Dembele: €20 million
Vincent Kompany: €12 million
Daniel Van Buyten: €10 million
Timmy Simons: €8 million
Marouane Fellaini: €7 million
Gaby Mudingayi: €7 million
Steven Defour: €5 million
Nicolas Lombaerts: €4.2 million
Kevin Mirallas: €4 million
Stijn Stijnen: €2 million
Guillaume Gillet: €2 million
Some of these numbers are official, others are the estimated value. But if Defour, Mirallas and Gillet are that 'cheap' Anderlecht just shouldn't hesitate p
Vandereycken want to experiment

For the game on saturday against Finland, Marouane Fellaini and Steven Defour are both suspended. "It's difficult to build on the previous matches as I always face new injuries or suspensions," Vandereycken said, "so maybe it's time to try some things out."
It's not really clear what the head coach means by this, a surprise at the kick off ? Another formation then his usual 4-4-2 ? We'll have to wait 'till tomorrow. Further on, KBVB president Francois de Keersmaecker announced Vandereycken will get his evaluation after this qualification campaign.

TBH, Azerbaijan and Armenia are both beautiful countries, just like Kazakhstan. Central eurasia is the most beautiful region on the face of this earth, honestly.
