The Germinal Beerschot Thread

So, I started a thread for GBA, because i can..

I just wanted some views on how you think the new players will help out GBA?
Cruz?
Milenkovic?
Victor?
How do you rate them, and do you really think they can bring GBA up the ranks? THere is nothing to be won this year except a place in Jupiler, but building for next year, and with the possibility without Dosunmu, who can GBA count on to score?

Also defense is now not GBA's strong suit as before. They concede a lot of goals. 34 for the season, tied with last place Lierse. This is a big problem, especially for the game v. Anderlecht coming up, who are the leagues top scorers with 42 goals.

Three good player, potentialk wise that is. Milkenkovic can be pain in the ass on the pitch, but it is good to have someone like that in the team. For Cruz and Victor the problem is different. They haven't been playing much this season and the main reason seems to be a lack of professionalism. Certainly the things Cruz pulled of at Lierse were incredible (and before I say that ). It remains to be see how they will change their act. If yes GBA has done some fantastic transfers.

For this weekend, I hope GBA will get crushed (I doubt it though ) I'm sure you'll understand that

Wishful thinking, GBA shall have victory!!!!!!!!!!

BEEEEEEEEEERRRRRRRRRRSCHHHHHHHHHOOOOOOTTTTTTTTTTT! !!!!

ok, since I cant be there in person, I am sure the atmosphere will be great, and I hope it is a good game. No pressure for Anderlecht...They are just in the position to take the lead in the standings if they can win...On the other hand GBA has nothing to lose, so we will strike first and fast! Expect a hat trick from Dosunmu.

No pressure on Anderlecht? You've got to be kidding me. After the sell out they did during the winter break and the ridiculkously bad performance against Cercle, there is no way they can afford to drop another 2 or 3 points. Van Holsbeeck himself said the club is 1 loss away from a deep crisis.

I think you misssed my sarcasim...
of course there is pressure on them, that's why I said they will blow it, because GBA have nothing to lose, Anderlecht has everything to lose.

Both were brought in towards the end of the game. Victor had a few good actions and was involved in the action that lead to the second goal. I wouldn't say Cruz was bad, but I didn't really notice him that much (Having said that, he only got about 10 minutes and came in for Messoudi, who had a good game imo).

Messoudi seems to be getting a lot better. And not a bad sub with Cruz. I have strong hope for this team, but they need to tighten up their defense. Hopefully these last goals will spark something in Cavens, and we can get him back to form. He is always so inconsistent.

Great victory for GBA 2-0 v Zulte. GBA is definitley a different club than the first half of the season. winning top 5 teams, GBA should not be underestimated anymore. And of course Dosunmu scores another!!!

Another good win by Beerschot, 4-0 v. Sint Truiden. With 2 goals by Cavens no less! From the very bottom of the bracket to 8e is a big improvement. Next game vs. Beveren and I see another victory.

I have to say congrats to GBA for turning the season completely around from disaster. Finishing in 7e from dead last is great. Also Dosunmu getting the top goalscorer. IN the last few games there Cavens actually played well, so that is a plus. Hopefully the team grows next year, and we can be a competing team in Belgium, because it is due!

Your tifo needs improvement though.

The stadium speaker on the other hand: "Ratten, het veld ligt vol met papiertjes. Willen jullie daarmee ophouden?"

Brilliant.

Any idea what will happen with Dosunmu? As far as I know he still belongs to Austria Vienna, but I think he doesn't want to come back but stay in Belgium. Does GBA have an option to buy him?

They had one. But they waited too long to let it know at Austria that they wanted to buy him for the price which stands in the loan-contract. So if Beerschot still want to buy him, they'll have to negotiate again with Austria ...

Mohammed Messoudi probably on his way to Willem II.

How do you guys rate him? special player like Dembele who could make the step up? or more like a Chris Janssens or Kurt vd Paar in being mid-table team material?
