No, honestly... I think Sergio Conceicao deserves it, he's more of a teamplayer then Wilhelmsson...
3d should be Kompany, 4th Maertens and 5th Vanden Borre or sth :undecide:

I would be very surpised if Conceicao didn't win it.
Kompany has been injured for a big part of this season, while Wilhelmsson didn't know his best period at the start of the competition.

oh go home you ******, standard was the b est team of 2005, so what a big surprise if they had 4 players in the golden eleven.

and only one of the eleven is world class! sergio thank you for all!

Conceicao was one of the best wingers in the world a few years ago so he's definitely in a different class than the other players in the Belgian league.

No he isn't. Wilhelmsson and Kompany are as good. In Vince's case that is the understatement of the year.

Apart from the fact that he probably wouldn't have won it if Kompany wouldn't have been injured most part of the 2e round, it is true though that it shows how low our Jupiler League has sunck. After all an over -the-hill foreigner was voted as best player of our league. :undecide:

Wilhelmsson and Kompany can put their feet next to his any time of day.
Allthough I agree with the award; Conceicao was in overall the best this year.

I think "over the hill" might be a bit harsh about him.
He might be a bit less dynamic/fast than he was 3 years ago, but he's still technically very good and what he lost in pace he makes up in spirit and vision.
When you say "over the hill" I think about an old worn out player coming to roll out in the belgian league. But when you see Conceicao run over him the field I think nobody can question his motivation.

what do we call vanderhaege then?

ffs, rsca fans here, if you had conceicao in your team, you wouldn't label him as an over the hill player...

i think it's just frustration, but hey... i can live with that

How was the gala itself; anything decent/remarkable or again the on-going trend of less football and more show?
